  1. Review titled Fantastic dental hygiene work

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Mrs W - Posted on 19 March 2024

I normally hate visiting the hygienist because my teeth feel very sensitive afterwards and it can be painful during the process too. This hygienist was very understanding and has done a fantastic job without causing me any pain at all and I'm eating normally afterwards without any sensitivity. My teeth are lovely and clean and even the overlapping ones at the lower front have a good gap between them. 5 stars!

The dentist was so kind, explained all that needed doing in a quiet calm voice. Completely put me at ease and never thought I’d say this… but can’t wait for my next appointment 👍😀 Thank you Peachcroft Dental surgery!!

  3. Review titled Very positive experience with female dental therapist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended the practice yesterday for further treatment and again was treated kindly, sympathetically, patiently and empathetically. The treatment is now finished and I am so very grateful to them for the work they did and the way they treated me.

  6. Review titled Pleasant? Filling

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I don't think you can normally classify a filling or other dental work as pleasant, however the current dentist there was amazing. Firstly I arrived early and was seen early (probably a quiet morning) then the dentist and assistant where so reassuring and helpful. Once I had relaxed the procedure took maybe 5-10 minutes total and the worst part was that some of the things they used tasted truly awful. If the only unpleasant part (minus the sting of the injection) is how some of the stuff tastes, you know they have done well. Couldnt have asked for a better experience!

  7. Review titled Avoid if possible!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Joined as a NHS patient, on the first appointment the surgery doesn't seem hygienic to be in operation! There was no sign of any cleaning of instruments between patients (I visited as a family) and there was an overwhelming smell of sweat throughout the surgery and particularily in the treatment rooms. Staff were rude, and generally seemed annoyed with each other, nothing was explained clearly, we felt like a burden to the staff. Having an X-ray was an experience, may has well been in a broom cupboard. All in all not a pleasant experience, based on the cleanliness and general quality of facilities it is clear very little consideration is for the patient. When we left the waiting room was full, so it would seem numbers count more that the quality, I would be very reluctant to have any work completed by this practice.

  8. Review titled Only want the money.

Rated 1 star out of 5

First time that I come to a dentist in United Kingdom. I call them because I had a pain in a teeth and they gave me an appointment for the next day that I agreed to pay. When I arrived there I asked that I would like to register in the NHS (I don't really know how it works) and the only answer was "but after the appointment". I already agree to pay and I didn't understand the insistence with register after and don't give me the information about the process. I went to the appointment and I said that I wanted a basic review (look for cavities) and specially the teeth. They only review the tooth that hurts. They haven't check anything else. When I finished I went again to asks to register in NHS. They start to talk really fast and I didn't understand. They gave me an email address to request to be register in the NHS, what I did. At this point in time, no answer. I think I am not register. Really bad service.

  9. Review titled Very disappointed

Rated 1 star out of 5

First checkup appointment at this dentist as an NHS patient recently registered. Was not very impressed at all unfortunately, the dentist I saw genuinely sounded disappointed that she couldn't find more wrong with me teeth! Barely looked in my mouth and hardly touched my teeth. Took two X-rays and advised I needed a filling on bottom tooth, because this was in an area where it wasn't easily visible said she could only offer me a mercury filling under NHS. If I wanted a white composite one it would be done via private! I was baffled and when I said I would leave the work for now to reflect she couldn't get me out of the room quick enough. Only interested in how much money she could charge me for work. I am now actively seeking a new dentist and I definitely would not recommend this practice.

  10. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Deborah collier - Posted on 10 August 2023

I recently visited the practice to have a filling and a tooth out , the dentist and assistant were brilliant, I was nervous as expected and straight away both assistants at the desk were extremely lovely and put me at my ease, and said we are all here for you, and the dentist was careing, gentle, and talked me through the Procedure, she had a lot of difficulty extracting my tooth but I was comfortable and pain free , she was fantastic, I could not fault them in any way.
