Left nhs dentist, went to Ock St, “needed” 2 fillings replaced. Very painless experience. One filling started to be sensitive, then very painful. Suspecting infection, called surgery on Friday, could see me until Tuesday. Got too painful, went to nhs out of hours, infection, gave me antibiotics. Returned to dentist, was told root canal may need in house specialist, or extraction by another in house specialist. Needed to decide quickly! Reception gave me appointment for the end of September. I said it’s August now and tooth is painful. Reply: It’s nearly September! Tooth became too painful, out of hours nhs, tooth extracted! My Ock St dentist was going to charge me £50 to refer me to in house colleague. Plus other costs. Nice loos, furniture and classical music, caring treatment though? Lost a tooth that was not giving me problems and 10 days of pain. Still I lost 5lbs in weight on the Ock Street Dental diet! Just wasn’t lucky I guess?
