  1. Review titled Treatment not Fully Successful

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had braces on for 27 months and it's been 10 months since I had them removed. I've been wearing my retainers every day for 10-12 hours. My end result is, I've got some teeth that are not fully straight, a tooth that's slightly hidden behind another, two teeth that have a crossover, 1 front wobbly tooth that wasn't wobbly before, and serious gum recession in that same tooth which makes everything painful. This is the side of orthodontic treatment that I had not anticipated. It's either I'm extremely unlucky, or that people who have these experiences just don't talk about them much. My teeth look lovely in general, but I am left with all of these problems that only I can see, and a daily reminder and regret of how the treatment hasn't been totally successful. Having spoken to my orthodontist there's nothing that can be done to rectify the issues unfortunately. My biggest concern is the wobbly tooth as I don't know how long that tooth is going to last me and because it's an incisor it's an important tooth that I need everyday and I can feel everyday with the wobbling. They did fit a bonded retainer to give the tooth some support but the retainer attracts serious calculus - despite me being fully on top of my oral hygiene. So that's another issue in itself.
