Dear Mr Smith, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry for any inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, In some practices where we have no NHS appointment capacity, we do have alternative private options for patients to access dentistry, outside of the practices NHS contractual obligations. We will always offer patients this option as an alternative, so our patients can make an informed choice on their dental care. Kind Regards Georgina Smith - {my}dentist Patient Services

  2. Review titled Kicked from NHS list

Rated 1 star out of 5

I haven't been able to make an appointment for a check up the last 2 Years due to covid and because they where only taking emergency appointments. They have now kicked me and my family off of the NHS list because we haven't been seen by the dentist for the last 2 Years!! How are we supposed to visit the dentist when we can't get an appointment???

Good Morning Darren Thank you for your comments and for taking the time to leave them and we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our practice. We are afraid that this is common practice. After a certain length of time a patient’s registration expires and the dentist is no longer obliged to see that patient. Due to the waiting list for NHS dentists being extremely long in some areas it is only fair that a practice can register a new patient when possible and this also applies to patients who cancel or fail to attend numerous appointments. We do hope that you have managed to register at another practice but should you not have been able to do so if you go onto the NHS Choices website and 'search for a dentist' and enter your postcode it will show you the practices in your area that are currently taking on new patients. I do hope that this helps. Kind regards, Patient Support Team
