    £300 for a filling is scandalous!! I’ve proper had my pants pulled down today. I was charged for an emergency appointment even though apparently I have been paying for property appointment through practice pan. There is no benefit to pay in private but at the same time, no way it’s taken on for NHS patients.

    Dentist Andre Santos is excellent, in fact the best dentist I've ever attended. If only the reception staff were as competent. Maybe I'm old school and of a generation where first impressions and customer service were important but at this surgery customer service skills and competence are sadly lacking. Firstly charges need to be explained thoroughly, for instance I was quoted £330 for a root canal which I paid in 2 instalments. I was asked to return to have the temporary filling removed and for it to be replaced with a permanent filling which in my opinion is all part of the root canal work. Upon booking in with the receptionist I was asked for £94 which I obviously queried only to be told it was not the NHS, which I was fully aware, but priced as another filling. This I fail to comprehend when it is all related to the same work, I therefore did not keep the appointment as I refuse to be ripped off. Why was I not told about this additional charge when this appointment was made. I also object to being asked to make payment before I get to see the dentist. Do they think their patients are going to escape without paying. When my plan ends at the end of the month I shall not be setting foot in this surgery again and I've been fortunate enough to register with an NHS dentist whose receptionist was presentable, friendly, competent and very professional.

    Got me in on a emergency appointment caring and considerate dealt with my problem accurately just wished they asked me to go back for a review and full examination.
