Having to return after every appointment due to poor quality work. The dentist I see has no confidence and looks to her assistant for guidance and reassurance. The work I have had done is substandard

Went for a superclean which was excellent. My teeth have looked and felt great ever since. I had my baby granddaughter with me who got bored in the pram so a member of management staff held her and walked her round the practice to entertain her for me while my treatment was going ahead, which was kind and helpful. I would recommend the practice to others as staff are always pleasant and helpful along with bring professional.

My son had to have the removal of 2 teeth prior to his orthodontics appointment ,the reception staff and the dentist staff were most kind and considerate to him and put him at ease throughout the procedure, thank you to all the staff for your professionalism and kindness to him .

Great practice, friendly receptionists and even better dentist and dental nurses. Such warm and welcoming people, always strive to do their best for you and talk you through each step during your visit.

I’m a very reluctant dental patient owing to bad experiences as a young child but the dentist was excellent , calmed any fears I had and was extremely patient and professional . Told me what was happening and didn’t do more than one filling at a time so I wasn’t uncomfortable for too long .

I attended practice whilst working being carried out on it so workmen around to. Also another local practice had just merged with this one so very busy. I’m sure things will change when all this becomes more settled. Girl who took details did not seem very experienced but unsure if new as she didn’t advise me correctly regarding form and missed off a number from my form which was required. Then advised my lady dentist was upstairs where there was another waiting area. Unfortunately as a lady in my 70’s with mobility issues I wasn’t able to go up the stairs but it was agreed she would come down to see me in another room. Perhaps that’s a question that should be asked of patient’s especially older ones if they are comfortable with the stairs The lady dentist was very pleasant that I saw as was the nurse assisting. All positive. I was advised then that as her room is on first floor I will be allocated another dentist for next visit I have been with the practice many years but whenever I have visited over last few years I never see the same person twice. She was possibly the 5th or even 6th I’ve seen and next 7th. Would be lovely to see the same one to build a bond with. I was able to book another appointment for next visit.

We do always try to put a patient with the same dentist as we understand that patients build a relationship with their clinician. However, despite our best efforts to provide continuous care for our patients, unfortunately it is not always possible for a patient to see the same dentist, as various circumstances can mean it is not always possible. The reception staff were lovely and friendly. The dentist and dental nurse were also lovely and friendly and made me feel very relaxed. Only downside is having to come back for a filling, which will cost me more. If I could have had it there and then it would have kept the cost down a bit, but I had to pay for the check up and will have to pay for the filling separate instead of all in the one bill.

Under the NHS dental bandings, the charge for a NHS filling should be the same, whether it was completed on the day or at a follow up appointment. Private dental charges my vary.
