    I was referred to My Dentist by my regular practice to have several teeth taken out under sedation, I found the complete experience excellent, staff were very friendly and very reassuring at what can be a rather unnerving time, and treatment was very prompt no waiting around at all. Excellent 10/10

    Having been overdue a dental check-up, I called to book an appointment yesterday. I was told that I had been ‘archived’ as I had not been for two years. Whilst I appreciate this is correct, at no point did the practice contact me to advise this was going to happen (so I could have prevented it) nor that it had happened (which would have been courteous). My family have in the intervening period been and thankfully haven’t been ‘archived’. Upon explaining that with the pandemic as a key worker I had lost track of time and was sadly focused elsewhere because of my employment, this was met with a lack of empathy or concern other than I was welcome to book as a private patient. I know that my data is correct as in that time period I still live in the same house, have the same phone numbers (landline and mobile) and same email addresses; there could be no issues with ‘incorrect details’. This is incredibly frustrating as now, of course, there are no Nhs dentists within a seemingly large radius able taking on new patients, only ‘Nhs referrals’. I will most likely have to undertake private treatment, but I will not be using this practice with such poor data management practices and poor service. I would add that I am sad to leave the practice, as my experience was always first class in terms of the dental staff and healthcare professionals.

Due to our current NHS appointment available we are unfortunately not able to offer appointments to everyone who contacts the practice, and this can include patients who have previously attended.     The surgery has a calm and friendly atmosphere. I have received good quality care. I was particularly anxious prior to my examination as I have had quite a few procedures on my teeth in the past not all of which have been easy. However the dentist was kind and informative as to a way forward in my dental care.

    In early December I broke a tooth and had to wait until 31st for an emergency appointment. Delay after delay, my dentist didn't turn up, impression for crown wasn't successful, then dentist retired and had to wait 2 months for new dentist, in June had New impression then crown didn't arrive now a month later have heard nothing. 8 months since the tooth was broken.
