    This practice seems to want to charge you for treatment before you have it they ask me to pay for a check before I went in then I needed some treatment and had to pay the difference when I come out why not let patients pay after all the treatment has been done , you don’t book your car in for a service and pay the garage before the works carried out you need to stop taking peoples money before treatment as been carried out

    Dear Patient, I am sorry to hear your concerns regarding our upfront payment policy. This policy has been standard practice at {my}dentist for a few years now so I can only apologise if this is the first time this has been applied to yourself. The policy was introduced as it was becoming very evident across the business, that patients, who were booking and then cancelling appointments with no notice, or just not turning up for their appointments, were having a negative effect on our practices. Both in terms of the unfilled surgery time that went to waste and the financial impact these missed appointments have on our clinicians and our business.
