Over the last 4 years I have politely tried time and again to get a dental check up with my Dentist and even Emergency's etc and always told they were not available to the point of being taken off their patent list ,Their doing and fault not mine ,I did managed for the 1st time in four years to book an Emergency appointment two weeks ago for today only to be postponed yest again the very last moment and canceled by the Dentist , But I am just a broken hearted paying Pensioner in pain again,

I was seen at very short notice(same day) for emergency treatment. Dentist was pleasant and knowledgeable and appropriate immediate treatment given. A sensible plan for future action was formulated.

I am staggered by the standard of care given by this dentist. In September the dentist spent 30 seconds looking at my teeth then arranged a perio. Charge £25.80Appointments were cancelled 3 times with very short notice and now Christmas with a promise to ring in the new year. My brother in law needed a recement and was in severe pain. Appointment cancelled 3 times then told to ring the dental helpline and could not get through .My neighbour the same. A disgrace.

Like so many others, appointments cancelled time and time again. Every time,I am told the dental association is looking into it and should see an improvement but never do.

In line with other reviews this so called dentist is never there, my last three appointments cancelled at the last minute. On my initial check up I was in the waiting room for 1.5hrs and payed £25 for 30 seconds in the chair.

Had a tooth removed on NHS here and then had an implant of two teeth on one implant carried out private. The dentist was extremely professional and I suffered no ill effects, I did not even need pain killers after the implant. The dentist is also good at explaining what he is doing and why in laymans terms that I understood.

Great treatment and advice given, very friendly and can’t fault the service of the receptionist/dental nurse. You may have to wait a while but we’ll worth it.

I am writing this review having been a patient at Mereside Dental Practice for approx 20 years.The previous dentist was superb but I continue to be so disappointed after yet another cancellation. I think this is the sixth time my appointment has been cancelled due to the fact the dentist won’t be in. I wait in anticipation that my treatment will happen soon and the cancellations stop.

The dentist is a disgrace.Time after time appointments are cancelled at short notice with a plethora of excuses.You are kept waiting ages and mant times he does not turn up at all.Agree with all the negative reviews.Unprofessional and NHS should act.A pity because previous dentist was brilliant.

I have used this practice for about 50 years and have been very satisfied with the previous Practitioner's. About 2 years ago it was taken over by another Dentist. I had a number of appointments for various treatments over 18 months. Fillings,Crowns and scale and polish. The treatment was poor and appointments were being cancelled at the last minute on a number of occasions. I received some abysmal treatment from the principle dentist. I had to look for another practice locally and have been delighted to get away from Mereside Dental Practice. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have to say the dental assistants and receptionists were professional and always courteous. I have no issues with them
