  1. Review titled difficult to get appointment

I have a tooth hanging out practically. I called in to Jaywick Dental Surgery on Thursday 6 July 2023 to ask for an appointment. Was told by receptionist I was an urgent case and to call back on Monday 10 July at 9 am for an appointment. I rang at 9 am on 10 July, phone constantly engaged. It took me 10 minutes to get through only to be told all appointments for that day had been allocated. Ring again Tuesday 11 July. I mentioned that I am in pain, have difficulty eating and cleaning my teeth. Still told ring tomorrow. I said when I called in last week I was told I was an urgent case and ring today. I said why can't you give me an appointment, not necessarily for that day, but at least give me an appointment. Again told ring tomorrow and that was that. Considering the amount of pain I am in I think this is a ridiculous system. I know one dentist was apparently just back from holiday but really to leave a patient in pain like that is wrong. I will try again today Tuesday 11 July. How can all appointments go in less than 10 minutes with the line constantly engaged is a mystery to me! If I could afford to go privately I would but I am a pensioner on a limited income.
