  1. Review titled My first pain-free extraction!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by john devaney - Posted on 28 February 2024

This afternoon, the friar street dental practice performed an emergency extraction which was fast, efficient, and pain free. Having suffered a very traumatic extraction several years ago which left me traumatised, this was a surprising turn of events. The dentist was very patient with me and tried to keep me relaxed during the procedure. She also explained everything to me clearly and put my mind at ease. She could sense I was tense but kept things calm and reassured me that everything was fine. With consummate skill and precision, she conducted the extraction without causing me too much distress at all. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised how quick and painless it all was; contrary to my expectations. I highly commend this lady and have no hesitation in saying that she is truly a credit to your practice. The secretaries, too, have been superlative and very understanding in allowing me an emergency extraction at such short notice and finding me a slot in their hectic schedule. They get my highest recommendation. This is the tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth. And, boy, am I relieved to have got it out. Sorry. I am feeling very elated so had to end this review with a joke but my sentiments are sincere. Keep up the superb work. I feel very lucky to be a client of your vital service. Wishing you continued success with the good work that you do. John.

  2. Review titled Genuine care and trust

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been afraid of going to the dentist for several years due to previous fillings. On arrival I was greeted by reception and explained on what to fill out before heading up to the dentist. The dentist and nurse were kind and the appointment did not feel rushed. The treatment was explained to address some inflammation and address my concern on missing gaps properly. All options were explained and referral made with costs compared for all my options. I look forward to my follow up appointments and am happy to call the practice my go to now with genuine care and no hidden fees under pressure. I am starting to feel more confident with advice given. Another bonus was a nice colder room on a boiling hot day!

  3. Review titled Long wait times.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

You wait 2 weeks for the first available appointment, and over 2 weeks for the second available appointment and this continues until your treatment is complete, dragging out your treatment from start to finish.I was told on my first visit what the bill was and paid in full. The receptionist tried to charge me again on my second visit,it was lucky I was alert.
