    Further to my previous review left earlier today, 29/08/2023. Once again today I cannot contact the practice by phone. no one answers and the automatic message says "627 is unavailable to take your call". I visited the practice in person, I was told there is nothing wrong with the phones and they know about the unhelpful message. Also I was told "we are very busy after the public holiday", I pointed out that this situation has been happing since early August to my certain knowledge. No explanation offered. I am a long time register patient of the practice. I have a recurring acute toothache which was treated with anti biotics 3 weeks ago. Today I was told today they cannot take bookings for emergency appointments whereas I was given an appointment on my last visit to the practice. I was also told that I must ring the practice after it has closed and leave a message and someone will get back to me as soon as possible. I have little confidence that I will receive a call tomorrow, 30/08/2023.

    Michael Frain Dental Practice, Calne, Wiltshire. In August 2023, I called dozens of times to get through in regard to acute tooth pain. No one answers regardless of time of day. An automatic voice states "627 is unavailable to take your call". Why not "this is Michael Frain Dentist, Calne, all our operators are busy right now, please leave a message and we will get back to you". I have had no alternative but to physically go to the Calne practice. Fortunately I am local and retired but it is extremely inconvenient to most people. Whenever I have attended at the practice there has been at least 3 admin staff manning the desk, so what is the problem? I will say the actual dentistry I have received is excellent in terms of treatment and patient care. I do not accept the old tired excuse of not enough staff.

    I'm a very nervous patient and needed some extensive treatment. Everyone was amazing, really supportive and caring and reassuring at every step. All of the staff from the treating dentist and assistant to everyone on reception were friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend them enough

    I always have excellent treatment here. I had my regular appointment a couple of days back, needed a filling and my dentist was able to do it there and then. She was very gentle and explained every stage of the process, and everything was completed quickly and effectively!
