  1. Review titled Very good Nhs dentist

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 March 2024

I signed up as an Nhs patient with e8 in 2023, after five years without seeing a dentist. Every dentist, hygienist and dental nurse that I’ve seen here has been so reassuring, patient and friendly. e8 has really encouraged me to start visiting the dentist regularly and to improve my dental health. The location (on Mare Street) is excellent too. Would highly recommend to anyone based in East London.

I booked at fairly short notice was nervous. Hygienist was attentive, patient and kind. Explained the procedure well and put me at ease. I would recommend this practice based on the three visits I have made to it.

  4. Review titled Pricing structure unclear/No loo still

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by EBM - Posted on 13 December 2022

I waited 45 mins for my delayed dentist today and the loo was still unavailable to the public (it was available before Covid). I do not think that this is a good level of service. Also, I am not clear if you have to have a deep clean, then a hygienist appointment, before they let you see their NHS Dentist again - I do not feel this is fair? It is an NHS practice but at the moment I get pressurised to do the expensive cleaning/hygienist procedures in order to then see the NHS Dentist? I may have misunderstood this, as I have Asperger’s Syndrome but I think the procedure should be more transparent? Thank you.

  5. Review titled Bad service all round

Rated 1 star out of 5

Receptionist was on mobile phone not serving busy queue. The dentist left my consultation for 10 mins and came back talking about whitening, didn’t listen about my gums. Hygienist didn’t didn’t have anyone assisting which felt chaotic and still nobody has said anything about my gums. I asked to be treated as NHS patient and receptionist ignored me, charged me as private and didn’t say anything. Now I’m back to square 1, overcharged and still need gum treatment.

  6. Review titled Good experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

    by Oscar B. - Posted on 30 June 2022

I think the great thing about this surgery is that the doctors are trained to treat what is to be treated and do not look for unnecessary treatments to increase the bills. The receptionists are also very welcoming. In the past, I had some difficulties reaching by phone but one can go on site to book an appointment. Would recommend!

  7. Review titled Excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am a new patient at this surgery and this is the best dentist I have been to. The receptionist staff are friendly and helpful and as a nervous patient, help me to feel calm. I had my first hygiene appointment today and I am extremely happy with the result.
