  1. Review titled No communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by J Baxter - Posted on 19 June 2023

The practice burned down in June 2021, so they have been outsourcing dental care for private patients throughout Leeds while their original practice is presumably rebuilt. During this time NHS practice has been suspended, apart from urgent care (Which takes place all over West Yorkshire). There has been no communication from the practice in relation to the issues they have been having for both private and NHS patients. I called them in November 2022 to book an appointment and was told to call back in December, as this was when they expected to reopen. I have just called back today (June 2023) and they have advised that they are not expecting to start performing NHS routine appointments for another 12 months (June 2024) and to contact another dentist. Seems like they are trying to diminish their NHS list with a view to getting rid and just becoming a private practice. With the presumably intentional lack of communication to 'run down the clock' so they can remove people from their NHS patient list.

  2. Review titled Poor service and no longer providing NHS care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Andrew - Posted on 03 May 2023

I have been a patient here for about 10 years and received a call today to book a hygienist appointment. I enquired when my last check-up was (they usually let me know when a check-up is due) and as it was in 2020 I asked to book. I was told that I would need to find another NHS dentist if I wanted a check-up as they are only taking private patients. I asked how long it was going to be for and they could not give me a time scale. I can book as private but it will be over double the cost. As they were advising me to find another NHS dentist (are there any NHS dentists in this country anymore?) I suspect that they won't be taking NHS patients for a long time. As a long term patient of theirs, it would have been nice to have been informed of this change in policy rather than finding out when they call me to try book me privately. I will find another private dentist closer to home until they continue to provide NHS care (If ever they do).

  3. Review titled Formerly great, now terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

by MHM - Posted on 24 March 2023

My last appointment was almost 2 years ago and I had an appointment booked last September. Clarendon’s cancelled this appointment and asked me to call to arrange a new one where I was told to call back in 2 months as they are only treating emergency and pain appointments. Every 2 months since then I have been fobbed off with the same excuse only to be told today that the management are now asking the reception to advise patients to find another dentist as they won’t be able to see routine appointments for at least another year. Appalling service.

  4. Review titled We’re brilliant now after covid terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

Went to this dentist as ideal for working in city centre, seems since convos all they care about is Private patients as have just tried booking my check up and been told “we are no longer taking bookings for check ups only if you are in pain and we are looking to ask patients to find another dentist!” Really nice to only be notified of this when trying to book a check up on NHS.

  5. Review titled Shocking

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been an NHS customer for 7 years with Clarendon. Due to Covid I have not been receiving reminders for appointments. My last appointment was 1 year ago. I phoned up to make an appointment for a check up only to be told ‘we a scaling down, you won’t be seen for a year and we recommend you go somewhere else’ My beef is not with the fact that there are no NHS dentists. My beef is how I have been left in the dark. A simple text or letter of warning in advance would be nice.

The dentist and nurse were really lovely to my son George. He had lots of quite nasty treatment and they made it so he want frightened.

  7. Review titled Welcoming practice

Dental surgeon and his assistant were very professional and made you feel calm and in safe hands. Surgery was done very quickly and stitched up equally as fast.

  8. Review titled Too rushed

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 January 2023

Went for tooth extraction at Beeston Health Centre. Injection into roof of mouth really hurt. I felt ignored while I was waiting for Injections to work. Did not make me feel at ease. Did not feel like there was any person centred care. Rushed out within minutes of entering the room .

  9. Review titled Amazing service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Jemma B - Posted on 24 October 2022

I had a tooth removed this morning and I just wanted to pass on my compliments. The dentist and dental assistant were brilliant. They informed me what would happen, were very knowledgeable and really nice people. My extraction was done promptly but there was an element of patience too and were checking to make sure I was OK throughout. That was this morning and it's now almost 6pm. I feel comfortable, with minimal aches or pains and pleased that a tooth which has given me problems for almost a year has gone. Thank you again

  10. Review titled Warm friendly and professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Naheed - Posted on 06 August 2022

I had my tooth extracted today. I was so nervous and anxious and scared. But the dentist and nursing team were so kind and lovely and funny they really put me at ease and did their best. Thanks so much. Kept making me giggle the dentist did. Made it so much more easier X
