   I have used this dentist as a private patient for some years now. My biggest gripe is the cost of simple treatments and Bupa's indifference when I mention the price. I had a combined check up and consultation recently for a infection which was ten minutes from start to finish costing over £100. My old dentist used to check each tooth with an assistant making notes on a computer. Now all I get is a quick check of the mouth and advice to increase scale and polish sessions. I have cancelled my latest s&p due to cost and am currently looking for an NHS alternative. The staff are caring to be honest but I cannot continue to absorb the current average cost of £10 per minute in real terms, especially in the current climate. Bupa need to address patients concerns about charges instead of brushing this under the carpet all the time.
