   I visited the Bupa Dental care at Madford Lane in Launceston this morning for my routine Examination and wanted to discuss some issues I had regarding my teeth. But sadly the dentist examining me didn't seem that interested and I felt that I was been ignored and it did made me feel a little uncomfortable.. All he seemed interested in was to do was up sale with x-rays and a hygienist appointment.. The examination didn't take long at all and was very different to all other examinations I have received in the past with other dentist. (They normally call out each tooth to the nurse as they go through them and she marks them off on the computer) Not this dentist! The examination was not reassuring to me at all to say the least! The service in my opinion was not up to standard at all for a private dental practice. The cost for my very sort examination and the two quick x-rays was £97.00. Eye watering! I came away with no real answers about my concerns regarding the possible problems I had with my teeth. They also wanted me to book in a hygienist at a extra cost of another £97.00. Up sale? I didn't book it as i felt ripped off all ready! Sadly it seems like its all about taking as much money as they can off you for as little treatment possible at Bupa Dental Care Madford Lane Launceston. When I paid the eye watering £97.00 for the quick examination and two x-rays I was then asked to sign a form saying I was totally satisfied with the dental service and the advice I had been given today from the dentist. This was a complete joke! I refused to sign this because I was not satisfied at all and really felt ripped off! I asked to change my dentist to another one because they wanted to make an appointment in a years time for another routine examination. If the standard of service does not improve within Bupa Dental Care Madford Lane Launceston with a different dentist practitioner at this practice I feel its just not worth the time or money to attend any longer and will be looking elsewhere in the future for a better private dentist. Very poor service received today at Bupa Dental Care, Madford Lane, Launceston at an extortionate cost!
