  1. Review titled Very good dentist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Streph - Posted on 03 May 2024

I'm very averse to dentistry having had some very unpleasant experiences as a child. Here at Blue it is very different. The dentist was very gentle, caring and efficient. I had some very old fillings replaced as they'd broken and fallen out over the years. I was amazed how quick and painless the whole experience was. I had several appointments, was seen promptly each time and came away wondering what I'd been frightened of all these years.

  2. Review titled Giving wrong information

Rated 1 star out of 5

Giving wrong information to register yourself even though you only wanted to register your child for the service and when you get there with your child, there is no appointment for them. Having left a note to say this appointment is for my child . Never ever again will I be going there again, took the day off for this appointment as well. Unbelievable service.

  3. Review titled No chance of Emergency Appointment!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mark Dunne - Posted on 19 September 2023

My tooth cracked exposing a filling that the dentist had previously refilled. I rang the dentist to make an emergency appointment to repair the tooth and was told I could have an appointment in 8 days time or to ring 911. I flippantly said that means I am not going to be able to eat for a week and she agreed. I have always found them to be great in the past and was upset that they could not help me. Now I have to spend the next week mainly on fluids and hoping that I don't choke on the dislodged tooth when I am sleeping. Come on Blue Dental Care and dentists everywhere- set aside time for emergency appoinments and show that you do truly care for your clients.

  5. Review titled Appalling and unprofessional treatment

Rated 1 star out of 5

I met the dentist a few weeks earlier for a check up and she told me I had to return for a clean up and a filling. When I returned I had to wait for over half an hour and then went in, there was hardly any conversation when I came in. They cleaned my teeth and put in a filling but at the end of the treatment I was not reminded or told for which teeth the filling had been put in and the dentist does not have a good command of English, and just told to come back 4 months later. I am concerned this sort of behaviour does not meet NHS guideliness on patient care and professional dental care. I would strongly advise people not to go to this dental surgery and will never return there ever again. I am actually writing this review after having just returned home and the dentist did not even tell me anything about how long I cannot eat or drink for. At the moment my mouth and jaw are numb and I cannot speak. I believe this particular dentist should be spoken to by the surgery about her behaviour.

  6. Review titled Money hungry and uncaring dentist

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was there because I had cavities and needed fillings. I had one side of my fillings done less than 3 months ago, and needed the next side done after that one. Aftet having my first side of my fillings done, the dentist told me that I should come back after 3 months, which I was surprised by because I know people who wait for about a week. I ignored what she had said due to the discomfort I was experiencing, and booked an appointment for 5 weeks time. When I went to my next appointment, after 5 weeks, the same dentist didn't seem pleased that I was there. She assumed I was there for a checkup but when I told her that I booked the appointment to have all my fillings completed, she replied "What fillings?" But did it anyway. Obviously she knew what I was talking about because she knew exactly where the fillings needed to be placed and completed it in 10 minutes. When I was at the reception and ready to pay, the receptionist, who was very friendly, imformed me that I did not need to pay extra for this treatment as I already paid for the last one within 3 months. That's when it all made sense to me. The dentist clearly wanted me to wait 3 months, despite the fact that my teeth were in pain, just so I can get charged again! Very disappointed with the dentist that I was seeing as I thought she was reliable, but I guess now I'm going to have to find someone else. Just be aware that NHS patients may be treated differently.
