Two things have happened here: 17 year old with ASD missed an appointment, I called on the day to explain that it was completely my fault (I hadn't realised there was a clash) and offered to pay for the appointment. Had to leave a voicemail, no one ever replied. Dentist is now refusing to treat my child at all, and I have now asked twice for the dentist to reconsider but no one ever replies. More recently, I had a filling replaced. I had cold, cough and fever the day before so called to see what I should do. Again, I had to leave a voicemail both times I called. No one replied. I turned up for my appointment at the scheduled time, was told "it would be fine", cursory apology for not calling me back. I was quite unwell during the procedure and then had my first asthma attack in 20+ years when I got home, which resulted in a trip to Urgent Care and five days of oral steroids. The care during the appointment was good, but I really don't think I should have had the procedure done with a moderate respiratory infection. There's also not a lot of point in the practice having a phone line if they never pick up the phone, and do not respond to voicemail messages.

I have been coming to this practice for many years and have always found the staff to be polite, efficient and, in particular, the dentist. I have no idea why anyone would complain - unless the "usual suspects" who, themselves, are rude and demanding and expect to be seen "on demand" without any real dental problem.
