    In January this year I had an old filling fall out, and after waiting 4-6 weeks, got an appointment to have it fixed. Yesterday 25/03/2024, it fell out. I immediately tried to call to make another appointment, I was on hold for almost an hour, then eventually resorted to 'leaving a message', but of course no one called back. I finally got through 26/03/2024, and spoke to a woman who gave me an appointment for in six weeks time ! She said (and I quote) you can always get a kit from b and m and do it yourself, until we can get you in !!!! This is 'supposed' to be a civilised western country, not a third world country ! Then, after I ask if I would be expected to pay for the replacement filling, they said yes, as the original filling that fell out was an old one, (from when British dentists took pride in their work !) and the one from January was a 'temporary' filling ! I did not (and would not) harangue the receptionist as she only works there - but I feel its a disgrace that this is standard practice by dentists, who are basically getting away with (in my view) unacceptable behaviour. The only reason this keeps happening is because the government is letting them - appalling. Oh but just a sec, they do need you to hang on so they can sell you their whiter smile ads !

    I’ve been on phone for 1 hour 35 mins 9th in queue and still not through . Absolutely disgusting service . It would be quicker to walk in

    I would like to share my experiences with a dental clinic that unfortunately left much to be desired. Approximately 10 months ago, I visited this facility due to pain in my teeth and jaw on the right side. Despite paying a fee of £89, I did not receive a specific diagnosis or treatment, which was surprising and extremely disappointing. The pain persisted, leading me to schedule another appointment, once again paying £89. Unfortunately, this visit also did not yield results in terms of diagnosis or treatment. Additionally, I did not receive a referral for further diagnostics, further intensifying my disappointment. In the meantime, an appointment for my daughter was canceled. It appears that this was not a random occurrence, especially considering my previous attempts to confront the doctor who left me without treatment and diagnosis. Faced with the ineffectiveness of the treatment at this clinic, I opted for a consultation elsewhere. There, a significant inflammatory condition in my oral cavity, previously ignored, was discovered. Furthermore, the cause of my pain turned out to be wisdom teeth, something that could have been easily diagnosed earlier. Attempts to address the issue with the doctor from the Dental Clinic were met with a refusal to engage in a conversation. There were also no attempts to rectify the situation or refund the costs for ineffective "treatment." For these reasons, I cannot recommend this clinic. The experience was not only financially burdensome but also highly frustrating and unprofessional.

    Getting through on the telephone is an ordeal. Reception on arrival ignored me for 10 minutes while one of the reception staff and a dentist were gossiping about the previous patient. I waited 40 minutes past my appointment time as the dentist was running late, no mention of delays at booking in. The service from the dentist was minimal, no scale offered, no real patient care, a very robotic check list approach. All in all, I would avoid this dentist and swap if I could, but then there are no spare dentist places in Calderdale.

    Have been to this practice several times and when you actually get there ok. However it is almost impossible to get through on the phone to make an appointment. At least 1 hour. I have just waited 50 minutes as number 1 in the queue. Be aware you are not ringing the practice but a call centre. Hobnobs are to blame. I will be calling at the practice in person tomorrow after wasting 1 hour of my time on hold. This review is no reflection on the dentists who I have never had a problem with. It is the supermarket of a company who newly qualified dentists start with. Wish I could afford to pay privately.

    Extremely frustrating. Tried 3 times to get through on phone today. Last time I was in queue for 48 minutes when I got cut off. I had gone from number 3 on list to number 1. If the messages were more truthful about where you are in the queue you could decide whether to try later or not. Was told 2nd time a dentist would ring me back - they didn’t.

    Unacceptable waiting time to get through on the phone. Can be number 4 in the queue for over 30minutes. Does it really take 50minutes to speak with 3 other people? Request call back option available - never get a call back. Zero response from complaint online about difficulties contacting by phone to rearrange 'their' rearranged appointment I cannot attend. My advice - find another dentist.

    This is the 2nd time I’ve visited the new Location on broad st and by far the worst. The reception area is unorganised and needs reorganisation the off site call centre is hard to get hold off but reception team were somewhat helpful. The dentist I visited was rude and took no time to discuss my needs unlike my previous visit when the dentist was able to put me at rest by discussing my previous dentist who I had been seeing for years. The dentist I saw on this occasion was very quick to bump up my treatment to next price point and I didn’t even get descaling or polishing which was my main motivation for scheduling having only been for an emergency appointments over the last 3 years due to covid. I had to specifically ask for more information before leaving as the dentist was unforthcoming coming and up to this point had probably only send about 5 words to me during the whole appointment. When I went back to pay for the 2nd time as reception had insisted I had to pay upfront for my treatment and make an appointment for my next check up I was informed that I could only book a follow appointment up with this dentist as I was registered with him. This a dentist that I had never seen before and had booked into a cancellation appointment. When I complained I was able to get booked in with another so we’ll have to see how that one goes.
