  1. Review titled Not good

Rated 1 star out of 5

I took my dad to the Willesden eye clinic. It's a first time going there. The nurse didn't introduce herself and when I asked her are you doing to the examination now and her response was this is why you are here rudely. The reason I asked her was because we came 20mins early. while examining my dad she kissed her teeth few times and she was very unpatient and very rude. When I asked if everything is OK with dad, she nooded her head but no response

  2. Review titled Exceptionally rude and unprofessional phone manners

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ike Awunor - Posted on 15 January 2024

I returned a missed call from the center at 8.53am, and it went smoothly; however, I was forwarded to an unknown department, and the phone went unanswered. I left a message. I called again in the evening at 16.29 p.m., and the call was picked up by a remarkablely rude and confrontational receptionist. Her inability to listen for a few seconds to realize that I was simply returning a call the clinic had made earlier to me is baffling. Her exact words were, 'I never called you; I just started my shift' as though she wasn't a representative of the clinic, and I was making a personal call to the clinic, and upon which, she proceeded to accuse me of raising my voice to her. When a perspective patient calls in, one doesn't expect to be pelted with interruptions and unable to finish a simple sentence. I doubt anything will come of this compliant, but whoever answered the call to reception on January 15, 2024, at 16.29 p.m. is in desperate need of training, if only for basic phone manners. Furthermore, she insisted that she was unable to input my name and date of birth into the system to find out why they called me. Quite unbelievable, when the receptionist on the 8.52am shift did exactly just that, seemlessly, I might add. I am still none the wiser as to why the Willesden Center for Health & Care called me this morning. Simply appalling and unnecessary.

  3. Review titled Commitment to good care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been receiving excellent care from Willesden Community Opthalmology service for years. I want in particular to commend the medical, nursing and admin team for going out of their way to ensure that I was able to access an alternative medication when a prescription could not be filled. The doctor and support staff made extra efforts to keep me informed and to facilitate my getting an alternative. I appreciate their conscientious efforts to ensure effective care.
