Had blood tests done and within 24 hours they rang me with the results. He arranged for my prescription to be sent to the pharmacy of my choice and also sent me a link with some very helpful advice. Thanks again for a great service.

  3. Review titled Seeing a Dr = Mission Impossible

Rated 1 star out of 5

Seeing a Dr or even getting a call has been increasingly difficult now that they've pushed people down the App route. Said App (Patches it's called what an ironically apt name) is hard to use, has a lousy user interface and is essentially a lottery. If I was elderly, not tech savvy or not good with English I'd have to give up - everything about this App is a complex dog's dinner. Utter rubbish. The surgery has become a joke.

  4. Review titled abysmal service

Rated 1 star out of 5

had an appointment at 10.40, arrived 5 minutes early, self registered, advised wait time would be 5 mins and only 1 person in front of me. Great I thought, 30 mins later still not been seen, so spoke to receptionist "your next". After a further 25 mins spoke to receptionist again, "your next" was the response, despite being told that 25 mins earlier, after nearly a full hour waiting I was seen by a student doctor, we all have to learn so wasn't worried by that, until she advised she needed a second opinion, she advised I would see doctor in 5 mins, so returned to waiting room, had to wait a further 30 mins for the doctor. my car was parked outside in a 1 hour bay which meant my partner had to leave to move the car, my quick nip to the doctors took me over 2 hours. and then to add insult to injury the pharmacy didn't have the prescribed medication so asked me to come back later or the next day. that would have been a further hour out of my day.

  5. Review titled Awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

Had a scan almost 3 months ago, no results. The phone number on the NHS website doesn't work. The number given to me by my GP works but then they leave you on hold with a constant 'you are number 1 in the queue' before they hang up on you. A total disregard for people's time and care. How the hell am I supposed to get my results? Please pelase tell me!

  6. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Claire - Posted on 16 February 2023

The medical staff at this practice are always great but it has become increasingly difficult to get an appointment. I have used the e-consult in the past but now the practice no longer accepts e-consults. I have got the Airmid app but it is not possible to make appointments through this app. I can never get an appointment by phone so this means that it is not possible to get an appointment unless it is an absolute emergency. It is incredibly frustrating and it feels that a service is no longer being provided. It’s quite sad and it has made me want to switch practice.

I’ve been in pain at least 24months eventually got through to reception by a phone back, then told I would get a call from a doctor, spoke to the doctor told to give it s bit longer see how it goes, already been over 2 years and getting worse, I have lower back ache struggle to walk and also sway from side to side not good tried getting in touch again today been on hold long long time no answer, unable to do online say’s ring in the morning I don’t think this surgery can get much worse I’ve been let down and through listening to other people lot more have been let down sad really used to be one of the best not any longer. Maybe that is one of the reasons hospitals are so busy

  8. Review titled Disgusting behaviours and attitudes

Rated 2 stars out of 5

While there has been some good medical care and pleasant communication from mature receptionists there are some extremely bad staff here. They are young, rude, lack capacity to show basic manners and an embarrassment to the NHS. One receptionist was sitting picking at a cold sore when I went In the other day. The patient services manager and team leader do not respond to anything professionally and if you email in you don’t get an response. It’s sad that the nhs has been allowed to sell of its services to Affinity Care. Th partners of this company will be enjoying their profits while patients suffer.

  10. Review titled Appalling phone service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 April 2022

It is so unbelievably difficult to get through to this surgery on the phone and I can't understand why nothing has been done after so many years?! When you check on Google there are so many reviews, some going back 6 years on how awful the telephone service is. Now there is a message blaming covid for delays but it's just an excuse because its been horrendous for years before. I had to wait 1.5 hours to get through last time I called, now I can't even get into the hold queue, the message just says the phone lines are busy so try again later and then hangs up! I have a poorly baby and need to speak to someone, so I'll have to go down in person. I seriously cannot understand how this issue has been ignored for so many years, surely there is some form of requirement through CQC or other regulatory board where patients should be able to access the service the surgery provides??
