I recently attended Sevenoaks Dermatology to have a small mole removed. While the nursing staff were kind and reassuring throughout, I am extremely disappointed with the outcome of the procedure and the overall conduct of the surgeon. Despite the mole being relatively small, the incision made was significantly larger than expected or, in my view, clinically necessary. The stitching was poor, leaving me with a raised lump where the skin has been pulled together unevenly. I’ve had several moles removed in the past due to a history of melanoma, and never before have I been left with such an unsightly or poorly managed result. I was the last patient on the list at 4.30 pm on a Friday. While I initially thought the surgeon seemed professional, he came across as cold and disengaged throughout. They did not offer any clear explanation for the size of the incision, never smiled, and walked out of the room at the end without a word — no reassurance, no goodbye. It felt abrupt and dismissive. Today, I had the stitches removed at my GP surgery, and the nurse there agreed that the stitching and the resulting scarring looks unusually poor. I understand that surgical results can vary, but the lack of explanation, poor communication, and substandard stitching left me very disappointed and concerned about the care I received. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so others receive better clarity, consideration, and outcomes

The service I received this week at the dermatology clinic was excellent, The doctor I saw was so kind & caring .All the staff had time for you & you didn’t feel like just another number. Afterwards I visited League of Friends coffee shop & the staff there were equally caring & friendly, well done to all the volunteers who do such a great job !
