I was referred to we are with you at a time of crisis in my life, I was diagnosed ptsd in 2015 and had a relapse this year. I have not received any counselling through the nhs or their services that you are put onto either in 2015 or now! They system is broken I am not alone in my experience and therefore this service only leads you to feeling even more low about yourself and more likely to have suicidal thoughts!

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us, it is important to us as an organisation to know how we can better improve our services to support the people in our community. My name is Chloe Drew, I am the Team Leader for the We Are With You Hospital Outreach Team, we provide inpatient support for those with Drug and Alcohol Addictions at Royal Cornwall Hospital and provide intensive support for frequent attenders to RCHT and Minor Injuries across Cornwall in the community. I am responding to you due to the concerns raised around long waiting times experienced by yourself and how this has negatively impacted your wellbeing. At We Are With You, we are proud to provide a person-centred holistic approach to support, knowing that a wraparound support and looking at different aspects of your life is key to a future. I’m sorry to hear your experience with us has fallen short of this. We are with you is a free confidential service with support available through many means 24 hours a day. We can be accessed by: Visiting our flagship offices Monday-Friday 9-5 or Saturdays 10-4 (Liskeard, Truro, and Penzance) Calling one of our offices 01872 263001and speaking to an advisor who can help to resolve your query, we also provide an out of hours line on 0333 200 0325 We also have a fantastic webchat service, as we know speaking over the phone can be daunting, this is available at www.wearewithyou.org.uk As part of your treatment, we can offer inhouse therapies, including one to one work, Support Groups, accessing inpatient detox and rehab options as well as an Affected Other support group. We offer a number of specialist services, including our Family team, Veterans support, life skills, counselling and assertive outreach approaches.
