I had an appointment and of course i was worried, just like everyone else would be First apportionment was for assessment, and this was on the Wednesday, 3 days after my optician referred me to Spamedica the operation was booked for the following Monday . i arrived early and was booked in, offered a drink and went in for the operation and every thing was fine, friendly staff clean hospital and everything explained at every step 5 weeks later and i was booking in for my other eye to be done, and i was almost looking forward to the next operation, because it was a a transformation when i had the first eye done. everything was brighter, colours more vivid, in fact everything was good Second eye done and i can see even better Would i recommend Spamedica of course i would it was a fantastic service and i was told the appointment would be 3 hours , but an hour and half after arriving at the hospital i was on my way hon[me

Arrived at Spa Medica Wolverhampton at 8.15 and from start to finish the staff was marvellous, friendly, Helpful, Ready to answer any questions you may have making you feel at easy. While the procedure was being they talk to you and let you know when the old lense is out and the new one is in, once you are sitting up they ask if you feel quiddy at all and if so they tell you to sit there for a while and they stand with you. You are then taken to see a nurse and she explain’s everything to you about the after care and the drops they then take you out back in to the reception where you are given a follow up appointment for your check up, also a book for you to read and numbers if you have any questions. There is a member of staff in there that then offers and gets you a drink. You are told then that you may call whoever to come and collect you . Whilst you are waiting that lady is on hand if you want anything or if you want another drink. This is not my first cataract to be removed I had my last one done at Spa Medica and that is why I asked if I could be referred back to them I was made to feel so welcome and at ease and that’s what you need when you are at first very nervous and scared of the unknown. I would recommend this place to anyone having this procedure done.

When I could not get through to the practice as no one was answering the phone and the call back initially was not working I felt a little apprehensive, but the next day I received the call back and my appointment was made for the assessment which was carried out very methodical in each department and I was very impressed, I returned to the reception to book a date for the cataract in my right eye to be replaced and was offered a cancelation for the next day which I accepted. I was initially a little but worried about the procedure but the whole experience went well less stress than I had expected. It is 4 days since the cataract replacement and my vision has improved beyond my expectation on day 2 I forgot to put on my glasses and have not worn them since, so in around 8 weeks they will replace the cataract in my left eye. The facility was immaculately clean and I felt that I was on a conveyor system as you progress through the various stages of the assessment and surgery.

I had my second cataract removed on Tuesday 22nd April, my appointment was at 8 00am.I arrived a little early and was offered a drink on arrival. My first eye drops were put in just before 8 and all my details checked. Moved to another waiting room where the drops need time to act. There was a word search on the table unfortunately I did not have time to complete. I was called through to another room and again my details were checked and confirmed it was my left eye that was being operated on that day. Through to the operating theatre and was warmly met and names introduced as had had been all the way. The whole procedure took about 15 minutes and I felt no pain or discomfort and felt relaxed during the procedure. I was back in the main waiting room by 9 20 waiting for my lift home My thanks to all the staff at Spamedica.

I have just had my cataract removed and I can thoroughly recommend Spa Medica for the professional treatment I have received. From the initial booking of my assessment to the operation, I have received professional treatment and care from all of the staff, the receptionists and theatre staff have been friendly, caring and professional in their treatment of me. I have no qualms in having to return for my other cataract removal, as I know I shall be treated in the most friendly and professional manner.

After being referred to Spa Medica by Specsavers, I had my first appointment the following week, the same with both eyes as I had the cataracts done on both of my eyes over a seven week period. The procedure is completely painless & you're talked through the whole operation & given assurances. All of the staff are very professional & friendly. The place is spotless. The day after each operation each eye then had perfect vision for driving, walking around & everyday things. I've been wearing very strong varifocals for more years than I can remember, I can now get by with a pair of £1.50 reading glasses for reading & twiddling with my phone. 9 out of 10 in my opinion, I'd have said 10/10 but I tried to phone them on a few occasions but nobody answers, I also tried the option to have someone call me back, unfortunately nobody did. The main thing for me is driving, it's so much more relaxing now. Keep up the good work.👍

Appointment given for 8.15am. 1 hour 15 minutes after appointment time and still waiting to be seen. People arriving after book in are being seen before my father. Why give an early morning an early morning appointment and make them wait if you don't have intention of seeing them at the time given. I had high hopes after reading reviews. Very disappointing.

Left eye surgery on 13 Mar 25, transport from and back to my home. Well looked after before, during and after surgery. The surgical team were great and attentative, particularly the surgeon, who talked to me throughout and explained. Very, very pleased. Now healing nicely. Thank you Spa Medica.
