Having learned from my optician that I needed a cataract operation I was apprehensive to say the least!, no need, on arriving I was met in reception by a very friendly member of staff who explained in detail the order of the day. During the pre operation everyone was polite and friendly and talked me through each stage. The morning of the cataract operation I had a bit of a panic attack at home as I have COPD and things over my mouth make me struggle to breathe, I explained all this on arrival and they put me completely at ease, the operation is quick, painless and if I’m honest a little weird!, all very friendly and polite staff and it was all done in the blink of an eye. The morning after my eye felt a little gritty but ok, now it’s settled down my eye sight is absolutely perfect, can’t thank them enough for a weird but wonderful experience. Regards Chris Forshaw.👍

Given that this was my first ever eye surgery, I was naturally a little bit nervous and somewhat apprehensive. I needn’t have worried. From the moment I arrived, everyone was friendly, encouraging and welcoming. At every stage, procedures were explained clearly and concisely and in very accessible language. The procedure itself was undertaken with the utmost skill and professional competence. My thought when I left was: “why was I nervous?” I can’t recommend Spa Medica West Lancashire highly enough.

I arrived on the day of surgery feeling anxious, but I needn’t have been. At each stage the staff were helpful and professional, explaining exactly what was to be expected. The surgeon described what he was doing at each stage, which helped me enormously, and I left feeling I had been treated well. I did have a vision issue a few hours after I arrived home. I phoned and they said someone from the team would ring me back, which they did promptly, and put my mind at rest.

From the moment you enter you are made to feel welcome and confident. The staff were very friendly and professional. Clinic was spotless. Throughout the surgery the staff were reassuring and kept me informed of what was happening. All my worrying about undergoing this procedure were unfounded.

The staff at Spa Medical W Lancs were all friendly and helpful. Indeed the gentlemen who greeted us at the entrance were perhaps over-enthusiastic with their bonhomie and jokes ("The surgeon has a bit of a hangover") which could be taken literally by, for example, an individual with autism. The only issue that I had with the waiting was the ghastly constant presence of either day-time-tv or Radio Mindless which I found really irritating. Perhaps something more calming such as Classic fm could be considered? But many thanks to all the staff at the centre. I am looking forward to using it again for my second cataract surgery, but I'll take in-ear headphones for my own background sounds!

I had my cataract done here last Friday, from walking into the building and being met by a very nice man who took my details checked me in and taken up in the lift to the clinic to leaving it was a lovely, caring,professional and I must say enjoyable procedure. I did not have no pain whatsoever I was treated with the upmost respect by genuine professionals.Upon leaving and arriving offered free coffee, tea and biscuits which is a nice gesture. The surgeon was so kind and caring always asking if I was OK and theatre staff were the same. I would go back again in a heartbeat.Thank you so much all of you , you do a brilliant job .karen

From the time of my arrival for my operation. the attention care and information provided was first class. My medical treatment was performed with a very high professial standard, again provided with instruction which was made very easy for me to understand. Treatment after again was excellent by all Spamedica staff to ensure you were fully recovered ,I would certainly encourage ,one hundred percent .to all who need to have cataract surgery to use this company.

I cannot praise the treatment I received from Spa Medica enough. From the pre-operation assessment to the operation itself all the staff were very professional in informing me of all the procedures. As for the operation itself it was carried out to the highest standard by the surgeon with no discomfort felt at all. I express my sincere thanks to all concerned.

Second cataract removal went well with no pain and only very slight discomfort for the first couple of days. Both eyes have clear and sharp distance vision now. All staff are welcoming and reassuring. Highly recommended.
