I imagine most people worry about having a cataract procedure. I was no exception but the information given to me by Spa, well in advance, interested me. By the time of my appointment I was looking forward to it! The procedure really was quick (10 minutes overall in theatre, actual operation 2 - 3 minutes) and painless, and recovery was quick as well: for about 24 hours afterwards my eye felt a little as though I had conjunctivitis but that sensation then abated. Spa's clinic at Watford is a modern building. All the staff who dealt with me were friendly but professional. It is vital to follow the instructions regarding eye drops, and to rest for a few days after the treatment. For me, the result was stunning: my vision was immediately much clearer and brighter, and I have no qualms about having the other eye done in due course. It really was a world class experience.

All the staff were friendly and professional kind and caring. The venue was clean and smart. So thankful that Spa Medica Watford completed my surgery for both my eye cataracts as they made me feel so comfortable. I would highly recommend. After care service was brilliant too.

Excellent staff and treatment. Was obviously worried about people playing with my eyes but the staff were reassuring and said there would be no problems and I won't feel a thing and that the procedure would be done under local. After the pre-med tests they confirmed all OK to go. The operation itself took less than 10 minutes. Can't believe the difference it has made already. brilliant just have to wait now to get the other eye done in a few weeks time. So thanks to everyone, well done.

I had my right eye cataract done last month and every was okay I had my check up last Thursday on 20/03/2025 I was given a day next week on Wednesday 26/03/2025 for my left eye cataract procedure I am really impressed by the service with Spamedica Well done and thank you

My Feedback on your service at this location: Greeted with a friendly environment on arrival. Reception area and pre-assessment waiting areas are very clean. Pre-assessment procedure well explained by all the team. On the day of my operation the surgery team listened to my concerns and explained the procedure clearly and in a way I could understand. I was provided with extra medication to reduce the tension in my eye. The instructions for putting the drops in my eyes were clearly written on each box and explained to me by a member of the team. I was provided with coffee and the receptionist telephoned my husband to return to collect me after the operation. Lots of care and consideration was shown to me by all the team at Spa Medica Watford. Highly recommended.

I would like to thank all the staff in all the departments from start to finish for there kind and caring support in looking after me throughout my treatment, I have never been in hospital or had any procedures ever done and was very nervous. I would recommend them highly this clinic

Had my 2nd cataract procedure and noted a few subtle changes since my first procedure in December 2024. Pre op assessment on the day was good and thorough. Actual procedure was good. After care seemed rushed as there was an assumption that I remembered everything from 1st op. No Aeon drops given this time and no information sheet with the specific dos and don’ts as well as a chart to record putting in the Pred Forte drops. This appointment was all done in less than 2 hours which was great as my first appointment had delays.

I was back at Watford to have my left eye done after having my right eye done in August 2023. The staff were again very attentive and efficient. The clinic was very clean and sparkling. I had the pre-assessment on the Monday and the procedure the following Wednesday. No hanging around with worry. First time round there was no discomfort and immediate fresh vision. This time there was a little more discomfort and my neck ached afterwards. I did take a sedative and later paracetamol. I didn't want to jump in the middle of any work. 2 days on and the initial blurred vision is still clearing and I am up to something like 80% of clarity, improving after every 4 hour drop. I am happy with the emerging result. It's also easier than going to the Dentist. No needles.
