My second eye has been "cataracted" and the improvement is wonderful. My right eye, my dominant one, is now so good that I do not think I have seen so well since I was a young boy. I am looking forward to going to see Stoke City play, when I am confident that I shall finally be able read the numbers on the players' shirts. This has not been possible for many years, even when wearing my regular spectacles. Just wondering how the next kingfisher will appear! Thank you. You are all brilliant.

This was my second eye treatment following first surgery in November 2024. The hospital is very well organised, clean with Friendly staff. The surgery was painless and the results have been amazing. Thankyou

From the first welcome to the wave goodbye the operation is welcoming attentive and secure in all its services. On site for cataract removal on both eyes the pre-appraisal results were discussed at length, followed by a full explanation given by the consultant surgeon as to my needs and methodology to be used. From telephone to procedures everything is clear for a good understanding of all aspects. Staff always available for assistance or advice and the consultants give lots of assurance at ever stage. Cleanliness is a number one issue with all areas immaculate in their presentation. I would highly recommend this facility and its people without hesitation to anyone considering eye treatment here at Newcastle- under-Lyme

I have just had second cataract removed. I cannot fault the experience and would recommend the experience as being perfect in every way from the waiting time to the staff who were helpful in every way.

I went yesterday for cataract surgery and the service was absolutely brilliant, the staff were excellent and explained what was happening every step of the way. If you are considering eye surgery this is the most place to go to, they whole experience was amazing and if I need further surgery I will definitely use SpaMdica again. Well done everyone you are amazing

Turned to have my second, right, eye cataract dealt with as arranged. Knew what to expect after having my left eye already attended to. That experience was dealt with professionally throughout and all staff went out of their way to explain in detail what was going to happen and making you feel at home and comfortable. Drinks were freely available most of the time. Drops were applied to the eye and needed about 45minutes to fully take effect. The laser surgery itself took about 25minutes and was a weird experience to say the least. Painless but strange. Felt slightly disorientated immediately afterwards but after a few minutes and a cup of coffee felt fine. Could not fault the treatment in any way and now have the best eyesight I have ever known. (Worn glasses from age 3) and now enjoy walking in the rain without frosted windows;) Many thanks.

I had a cataract procedure very recently. From assessment to the actual operation I was treated with great respect. I was given lots of support as I was rather nervous. Highly recommend.

From the start of my journey in the transport provided,I felt save the driver supervised my entry and exit of the transport.Once inside the building staff were efficient and welcoming.I did not feel "Wonder what happens ,next or where I was meant to go"The staff were knowledgeable , efficient and happy to help.At no time did I feel rushed or unsure of what I was meant to do.The theatre experience was calm ,for me it was just a case of lying down and keeping still,you feel nothing,and see nothing of the procedure. ..afterwards tea and biscuits and transport home . Three times I attended. pre assessment, and both eyes for cataract extractions .The staff wonderful, the experience good very very happy with everything.

I have just had my 2nd Eye treated first one 6 weeks ago was so pleased went back and had 2nd done without any hesitation and am so happy I did it went even better in and out in 2 hrs and was so well looked after would recommend 100%
