Great friendly staff very clean made to feel at ease will definitely recommend going back to spa medica for my other eye surgery to be done

Every stage of the procedure went so smoothly , with excellent staff care and consideration all along the way . The transport provided was with a very careful driver ; on time and and help given when required . All stages through the morning were well explained and inspired confidence as to what would happen there and afterwards . The informative booklet backed up the information and will be a big help on returning home . The building itself is comfortable and warm with some thoughtful touches , like a handy magnifying glass was provided to read the booklet when eyes are beginning to get blurred . Refreshments were very welcome and I cannot see how anything could have been made better ( apart from gluten free biscuits at the drinks station ! )

On arrival was met by a really friendly man at the front desk , who had me at ease straight away . First Impressions count . My whole experience was made so much easier by the friendly support , happy staff .. My nurse was supportive , knowledgeable and incredibly friendly . The cataract was removed and although I was apprehensive , I was put at ease by my consultant who was very informative throughout the procedure, which I must say felt about 5 minutes .. One or two negative’s was .. I didn’t know there was going to be a noise from the laser and the face covering , just like a big blue bandage over the top half of my face , it spooked me a little ..also when they tell you to keep looking at the square light it disappears a few times and I found myself trying to look for it … I would highly recommend this Clinic and everybody I encountered that day, patients and staff alike all had smiles on there faces ,it is a quick and easy process ..For anybody considering this surgery , there is absolutely nothing to worry about .

Efficient, friendly, professional process which allayed anxiety and reassured that they knew what they were doing. Good explanation of what was and would be happening and reassuring number of checks of identity, the eye being operated on, the lens being inserted etc.

Pre-op 2 days prior, was made to feel comfortable and fully informed throughout. Lots of checking of details during the whole process. The whole procedure was excellent. Can see such a difference already I will definitely be having the other one done when offered.

Within a week of being seen my cataract was done. Very friendly and efficient service. Despite being very nervous I felt secure in the team. My young surgeon was very reassuring and she did a great job. I hope I get her for the other eye. Overall I am so pleased.

Having had my 1st cataract operation here and having my post op check 6 wks later I was offered an appt. the following day for my 2nd! Fantastic service! All staff very friendly and supportive. Highly recommend!
