I was looked after from the pre op to the actual cataract operation very well by all the staff. I would recommend the treatment centre to anyone who needs any eye treatment.

I was diagnosed with cataracts several years ago but was told not to worry about them until they started affecting my vision. When they did, I contacted my optician and she asked me multiple questions in order to complete a referral questionnaire. This in turn was uploaded into the NHS database straightaway. Within 24 hrs I was contacted by SpaMedica within Deansgate on the phone. A pre op appointment was arranged for the following week so that they could undertake several tests to evaluate my eyes. On arrival I was checked in and went through 4 assessments / tests over the next 2 hours. Everyone was very pleasant and extremely professional so I was impressed. Prior to leaving, one of the 2 receptionists booked me in for my first cataract operation within 10 days? There was an earlier date but I had a prior engagement. As my eyes were still dilated from the procedure she helped me book a taxi and a colleague accompanied me to the pick up as my sight was not quite clear. A friend drove me to the clinic for the operation and stayed with me in order to drive me home afterwards. I was initially apprehensive about the procedure but was reassured at each stage pre op, by the friendly nursing staff. I won‘t describe the process as it is very clearly explained within the handy booklet, supplied to me by SpaMedica/ NHS. The surgeon and his nurses did a sterling job and I did not feel a thing due to the local anaesthetic. I was encouraged to ask any questions while the surgeon explained what would happen next. Overall, I can thoroughly recommend the operation should you require it. Currently I am in my second week of recovery, using supplied eye drops 4 times a day. I cannot get over how clear my eyesight is. after the cataracts have been removed. Colours are no longer“warm and soft“ but“bright and sharper“. Hopefully, all being well within the next month or two, my other eye will be corrected. Thanks to all the staff at Deansgate Spa/Medica.

This was my first cataract operation and I was nervous, but I was surprised at how smoothly the whole procedure went. All the staff were very helpful and professional.

I had an incredibly successful cataract operation performed at SpaMedica,Manchester . From the moment I walked into the hospital to the time I left, every member of staff was polite, welcoming, and made me feel completely at ease. Their professionalism and kindness were evident at every step, and the care I received was second to none. I’m truly grateful for the life-changing results and would highly recommend SpaMedica team to anyone in need of cataract surgery.

I was very happy with the service I received for my cataract operation. Mine was a complex cataract, but the surgeon said that it was nothing they hadn’t dealt with before. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the surgeon was reassuring throughout. I was also impressed that there was free transport to and from the venue and was told that no other health provider offers this.

I arrived here for Cataract Surgery very worried and nervous,, but I was treated very patiently and with great care and efficiency putting me at ease, the Surgery was carried out successfully by a very friendly Surgeon and his staff, no problems whatsoever and leaving me very confident to have my other eye done, Great service. Great staff

I felt cared for and comfortable on my preliminary visit. I was seen very quickly following referral by my optician. The operations went well and follow up information clearly given. The staff at SpaMedica are extremely welcoming from reception staff and at every stage you go through. Everything is explained carefully to you and the whole thing is over very quickly.
