Excellent patient care, reassured throughout procedure, clean efficient well rounded service from reception to clinicians. I felt I was focus of treatment and included in all decisions. I would use this service again.

I have had cataracts removed from both eyes at Spa Medica, the right one in December 2024 and the left one less than a week ago. The staff are very professional and caring and put you at ease. The consultant has given me the gift of my sight back for which I’m very grateful. The service has been very quick as I was only referred by my optician in late November 2024. Thank you so much Spa Medica I would definitely recommend your clinic

The location is easy to find and with parking which is a bonus. The place is very clean and tidy with plenty of seating inside. The receptionist are generally helpful. Some of the staff are very nice, friendly and caring. However, some staff are not friendly and this has something I’ve noticed at every visit. One practitioner did not greet me at all when I entered their room. They did not explain what tests they are doing and why they are doing this. I’m a physically disabled person and they did not support me with getting into the different seats in each room, and rushed me instead which caused me a lot of pain in my leg. I was also told that if I can’t get in the chair they can’t do the appointment. I think it’s appalling that they do not have the correct facilities for disabled people or do not offer much support. One doctor sees you, does some tests without telling you what they are doing, tells you to go and wait in reception area for the next person, who does the same. It makes it hard to estimate how long my appointments will be because no one communicated with me and I had no idea what was happening. Also, they used to offer hot drinks and receptionists made these, making it feel more comfortable, friendly and personable. Now, there is a charge for a hot drinks, which I think is shocking. It seems the patient care and service has dipped significantly recently. I think a lot of the staff need to go back on training on how to deliver a caring, friendly approach with good communication. I also strongly recommend the practice becomes better equipped with facilities for people with disabilities instead of making those with disabilities feel unsupported and uncomfortable due to their conditions.

I have recently experienced the extremely kind, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff at Spa Medica in Derby when having my cataract operations in late October and late December 2024 Nothing was too much trouble for them and they did their best to put me at my ease during, which was, a stressful situation for me. Because of my personal experience I have no hesitation in recommending them to others

From the initial assessment, through my operation and after , all the staff were extremely helpful, re-assuring and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend

Had a cataract operation this morning. In and out in just over an houir. Staff professional and friendly and so far the operation has been 100% successful.

From seeing our amazing, Optician,less than 2 weeks later Mums Cataract removed. Highly recommend SpaMedica, all the staff and the doctor so pleasant helpful, explanation. Thank you all.

Extremely impressed with this clinic. They were very quick to make contact, very efficient once in the clinic itself and excellent at providing all the information and replying to questions. They all,collectively, made the experience and the procedures a very positive experience.

You wouldn’t get a better excellent service if you went private all staff very helpful and knowledgeable from first appointment to surgery one week. Surgeon very gentle and explained everything he was doing and very reassuring putting you at ease surgery was painless just a little uncomfortable brilliant from start to finish
