    The organisation is very impressive, and every step of the way went smoothly. This is in contrast to the sometimes rackety organisation of NHS hospitals. The staff there were universally friendly and helpful, and all knew what they were doing. Again, in the regular NHS staff can be more interested in each other than the patient, or themselves suffering from the hospital's poor management. The clinic was spotlessly clean in every area, and I encountered the cleaning staff working to keep it hygenic and clean. Impressive. The patients are on a conveyer belt, and that's fine, and the important thing is that the process works smoothly, and that at each stage we're still treated respectfully as human beings. And this was the case. I would worry that for staff working on a conveyor belt becomes boring, and they start to treat patients without caring about them. That's a challenge, to ensure that the staff stay interested despite the conveyor belt.

    All my interactions on my two visits to Spamedica Dalston plus the telephone communications I had with their head office have been excellent....the staff and the the clinic are 1st rate

    The Nurses and admin team are lovely. However when the operating surgeon arrives over 3 hours late to work and does not even apologise to a single patient for being late and does not even have the courtesy to tell his staff he will be late it is disgraceful and disrespectful. Patients are anxious and scared to have a surgical procedure. We arrive at 8am and have to wait for the surgeon to arrive in the building at 11am and not even start operating on the first patient until much later. He then proceeds to rush the Nursing staff who were completely professional, hard working and kind. Consultants like this give the service a bad reputation. I was disgusted by his attitude and disrespect to his colleagues and patients. I would not recommend him as a clinician or as a senior member of staff in an otherwise lovely place of work. The cleaner was so thorough and dedicated. The ethos of all other staff members is not coincident with the ego and disrespect of the surgeon.

    Had both cataracts done ,so I’ve had four visits to this clinic. Can only say that “from the reception staff to the surgeons ,it was fantastic Everyone was so kind and welcoming. They made you feel at ease, which is so important. The place is spotless and tea and coffee facilities , very good. So the biggest “ Thank You“ to everyone.

    From the outset from 1st appointment to procedure to follow up I could not fault them They were friendly sympathetic explained every stage of the process Very good staff And coffee was good.

    The whole process, from start to finish, was professional and efficient. I was particularly impressed by the surgeon who operated on my eye, given that it required complex surgery. Her skill and manner was appreciated.
