    Right from walking into Spamedica I was impressed. Reception staff welcoming. Through the various stages up to and including the procedure al the staff were great. No one needs to be worried. The premises were immaculately clean. I cannot praise the structure and workings of the clinic enough. Didn't have to wait too long, and the op. only took 10 t0 15 minutes.

    I have had one cataract removed and cannot recommend all the team at Spamedica Brighton enough. I was able to get transport as I live over 10 miles away and the driver was very caring and friendly but did not impose himself on any of us which on coming home after the operation was welcomed. All the staff at the practice were friendly and helpful. I was very nervous while waiting to have the operation as I have never had one before but was assured everything would be ok. It was a strange experience but over before I knew it. I cannot wait to get my other eye done and would not hesitate to recommend Spamedica.

    I went for my check up for my first cataract operation which was fine. When I went to book for my second op at Sayers Common they had a cancellation for the next day which I accepted! Both operations have been a success and I have just purchased some new reading glasses. The staff were all marvellous. I meet people when out walking and they tell me they are nervous about having their cataracts operated on. I tell them I was the same but there is nothing to worry about! No needles are involved and going to the dentist is far worse!

    I have been treated for cataracts twice in the last three months at Spa Medica Brighton and on both occasions I have been treated so courteously by all staff from the reception team, to nurses and the surgeons. Everything was thoroughly explained and my questions answered. I was a little apprehensive for the first procedure but was cared for and put at ease by all staff. The clinic was absolutely spotless and I have no hesitation in recommending this clinic.

    I was extremely nervous to have my cataract operation ….but I was put at ease by all the staff I came into contact with at SpaMedica , even the surgeon came to talk to me to assure me that all would be ok, and spoke to me during the op explaining all that he was doing …I will need my other eye done soon and will be a lot less worried about having it done thanks to the wonderful staff I encountered from the receptionist through to the surgeon

    Absolutely fantastic all the staff and surgeons were amazing had both cataracts done within 5 weeks extremely happy also my wife had one done very quickly no waiting for weeks job done well would highly recommend spa medica

    From start to finish I was made welcome, kept informed and made to feel important. Staff brilliant, polite and nothing too much trouble for them. I know my second cataract operation will be a pleasant experiance. Keep up the good work.

    The outcome has been exemplary. However areas in staff training needs looking at, a. Receptionists. Why not smile and be less patronising. Most patients are over 65 be mindful. B. Overcrowded waiting area with no air con. C. Basic post op care advice “ do not bend down”, so thoughtless and callous “ nurse” tells elderly patients to get a locker, or even hands a key, locker positioned near to the floor when there are empty ones on the middle and top. I witnessed whilst waiting, three patients, elderly, struggling whilst bending down to open their lockers… “ nurse” stood watching. What part of don’t bend down does she not get!? Or, maybe she does., shocking . Another one doing drops, harsh contact with skin, fragile in elderly women, lacked compassion and empathy .. poor attitude. Positives: place is immaculate thanks to superb cleaners. Surgeon very efficient. Male nurses were extremely caring and thoughtful. Music not soothing or relaxing given most people can be nervous around eye operations. Excellent response over the phone if in pain post op. Well organised.

    After having two cataracts removed and being slightly nervous, I have to say that that the practice from the receptionists, nurses and surgeons was first class.
