Upon entering SpaMedica at Bedford for my assessment for Cataract Surgery I was very impressed with the efficiency that greeted me. The stages of the Assessment were explained, and I felt very confident to go ahead with the Surgery. The day of my Surgery went very smoothly and felt completely in very safe hands with all the staff throughout my time there. I will need another Cataract removed next year and would not hesitate to return to SpaMedica.

From start to finish my experience was amazing. Staff were fantastic and made me feel extremely comfortable through the whole process. I can highly recommend Spar Medica to anyone who is considering having their cataracts removed.

I was admitted for cataract surgery recently. The entire staff at Spa Medica Bedford were so friendly and professional throughout my cataract surgery visit. There is no waiting other than for the usual time required for eye drops to take effect. Before I knew it, I was ready to go home. You are in good hands when it comes to your eyesight with Spa Medica.

I had my second cataract surgery on Thursday 19/12/24. It all went brilliantly, the staff made sure I was aware of what was happening, the surgeon was excellent, I can’t recommend more highly.

Have just been for the laser treatment which was over in seconds! The only thing that hurt were the eye drops. Everything about the place is so well organised From the moment you go in for an assessment or for treatment. Have to have my other eye cataract done soon and am not so nervous as I was for the first one. Well done to everyone there, thank you.

For the consultation, I was greeted cordially, given a brief explanation of what would happen, how long I would be there and asked to fill in a simple form. With little delay I was seen by an optometrist and then other nursing staff. The process was efficient, communication excellent and I was kept comfortable and at ease throughout. I had a similar experience on the day of the cataract operation. The only significant waiting was for anaesthetics to take effect, everything was carefully explained, each member of staff was very professional. The surgeon was excellent and talked me through the process, both before and during the operation. The bright light is a bit disconcerting and the process is somewhat surreal, but no pain and very limited discomfort. The results are, so far, excellent - I can see much more clearly. Thanks to all.

Although I was 45 minutes early I was called almost immediately. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Everything was explained carefully and they made sure that I understood.

Fantastic from start to finish. I was made to feel very welcome. The person who carried out my treatment was a star. For anyone who's thinking about having a procedure there, please do it.

First class service with an excellent customer experience. Timing, welcome and the theatre time were nothing short of wonderful. From beginning to end first class. A particular mention to the Dutch surgeon who only works on a Thursday! A real star!
