  1. Review titled Aggressive, put newborn’s health at risk

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 March 2023

A very poor customer service. I came to check up my newborn baby. Doctor invited us, but didn’t speak to us for about 5 minutes, typing something on computer and leaving us wait. Then she asked me to talk about baby’s symptoms. Whatever I mentioned she would aggressively contront, telling that it’s not a valid symptom. I told that I am trying to explain her symptoms as best as I can. Then she asked me to undress the baby. I agreed and asked to close the window, she said that the window doesn’t close. I undressed the baby, but instead of checking the baby she kept saying she needs my concent to check her up with the window being open. I told her that I give my concent, but she kept repeating the same thing keeping the baby waiting undressed. She then said that the baby is fine and her cough is due to producing extensive amount of saliva (the fact that the baby just had a chest infection and had to take antibiotics didn’t seem to be an important data). On our way out I asked administrator for doctor’s name, but she said they can’t give it to me. At that point the doctor started accusing me for attacking her and pointing to a zero tolerance poster on the wall. The baby was crying. The doctor was raising her voice and threatening she will call police. We had to leave. It was extremely stressful. To be honest, not sure why and what hapenned today. It was totally unexpected and undeserved.

  2. Review titled Rude, unhelpful, arrogant.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Rizwana Ahmed - Posted on 22 December 2022

A doctor from this clinic called me in response to an emergency appointment from Whipps Cross a&e I was told by a&e that following the phone call, I would need to be seen face to face for assessment of my symptoms. She was rude and abrasive, yelling at me and demanding that I listen to her without listening to my symptoms and the reason for my visit to a&e. She told me there was no reason for me to be seen and she would send me a text message with a prescription for pain relief which I could take to any pharmacy. When I asked what kind of pain relief, she said the pharmacist would decide. How can the pharmacist decide without seeing my medical history? She was yelling so loudly that my sons could hear her and told me I should complain. It seems that I'm not the first person to experience this type of rude behaviour from this particular doctor. I have the name but will withold it. I'm sure the practice know who it is because they deal with complaints about her. They really need to train their doctors in listening skills and good customer service. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Instead of being reassured, I was left in more distress.

  3. Review titled Waste of taxpayers money. Awful customer service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I went to A&E of Whipp Cross Hospital, and they referred me to the Oliver Road Polyclinic centre. At the hospital, they gave me a paper with the Oliver Road Polyclinic centre's address, and the time a GP would call me to come. When I received the call, the doctor did not leave to explain to me (English is not my mother tongue) and kept sighing listlessly. Finally, I asked him why I could not go to the centre like this; he could see the problem I had with my cervical and throat since I could not take a picture as he requested due to my medical condition. He was rude and hung up the phone. After that event, I called again to the centre to ask for another doctor, and the second one called three hours later and kept interrupting me based only on the previous diagnosis of the other doctor; he just told me to take ibuprofen, even though I told him I had been taking it for four days in a row and it did not help to decrease the pain. So, my question is, what is the point of paying taxes for a public health system in which doctors do not want to see me in person, they tell me things that I could have searched on Google, and on top of that, they treat you rudely and make me feel bad because English is not my mother tongue? I have the right to be seen by a doctor like everyone else and to be treated respectfully. If something more serious happened to me because they did not want to do their job, I would blame them. However, I wonder if it was a family member of theirs, would they treat them the same way?

  4. Review titled Great GP

I have been to the GP for the treatment of chicken pox, the doctor is friendly and treated my conditions with good prescription and good suggestions for self care and isolation during my period of chicken pox.
