    Kept on hold from number7 in queue, for over 2 hours. Get to number 2 in queue, and deliberately cut off from other side. This has happened 3 times previously, wait and wait, then get cut off at number two....Disgraceful

    I need to book an appointment but their phone system is really bad, try to call them for 2 weeks and it won’t go through at all, it says that the opening hours is from 8am to 5:30pm when I’m calling them around 9am and they will end the call straight. I need my appointment as soon as possible and I’ll have to go there a book the appointment in person. It is very frustrating because why they are having issues to book people. There’s no other number to contact them at all.

    From having biopsies taken for suspected skin cancer melanoma, stitches looked like someone had done them blindfolded! Trying to contact them by phone absolutely pointless they leave you on hold and when after nearly 2 hours they then put the phone down on you. 8 weeks waiting for results is disgusting the stress you are put under in waiting times like this is so unbearable and unfair as in reality biopsies only take 1-2 weeks to come back . If results are positive you are making people more ill !!!!

    Turned up this morning at 7:45 for my 8am appointment. Was sent to 4th floor by security when in fact dermatology in on the 5th. Nobody on the main reception so sat and waited. Received a call at 7:55 to say the doctor was ill and that she had only just let the staff know. I had driven 20 minutes into Oldham for my appointment that I had been waiting for weeks. The lady I spoke to promised me a call back today to rebook and I’ve heard nothing - I’ve tried to call the centre and the voicemail says closed? Very disappointing service!

    I have been on long term medication which requires blood tests every 3 months, never receive the appointments, I have to call up and then wait weeks to be seen, in the meantime I am running out of tablets and having a flare up on my skin, this happens every time, they won't let me book my blood tests when I see my consultant, they say I will receive a letter but I never do, It's so bad

    Rang the dept. No help whatsoever was told no app,until 31st August even though my gp referred it as urgent l explained how bad my skin was and said what am I supposed to do short reply was go back to your gp who referred me in the first place

    I have had a dreadful experience with this clinic that has resulted in me having to go private as I haven't received the results of a recent biopsy 3 months later. This was after an appointment was fast tracked as an emergency. My original appointment was in June, and then again in August as no one had contacted me. Whenever I try to phone I'm told that only certain people have access to my records and they are not available however will call me back. I'm still waiting for the call. Each time I call the process can take up to an hour before I speak to anyone. I am recovering from cancer and would've appreciated more support and responsiveness than I have had. I would advise avoiding using this service completely if you can and find somewhere else that is more reliable, proactive and supported. I have found it so very stressful dealing with this department m.

    Had an appointment May 2022 where I was given 3 months course of anti biotics with a review to be undertook at the end of 3 months. The antibiotics didnt work and I am still waiting for review. Contacted them again today and was told I am on the list but there are people that have been waiting longer for review and they will be seen first. This is 1 year later - very very poor and I must say quite worrying....

    Had a consultation in Nov'22 and treatment agreed upon. 14 months later and treatment yet to commence. Contacted the call centre and informed that Oldham services were "short-staffed" and there were no clinics planned for my treatment until at least March 2024! The staffing issue appeared to be long term and when I questioned why nothing had been done to address the issue, the helpful person at the call centre said they did not have that information but they would contact the Service Manager at Oldham and ask them to e-mail me with a reply. This was in November 2023 and I am yet to hear from them. This is no surprise as I see that they have not replied to any of the reviews posted here. As a recently retired Registered Nurse I find it incredible that a service can leave patients who may have deteriorating or debilitating conditions for so long without following up to see if those conditions have improved or further deteriorated and if the originally agreed course of action is still appropriate. Although my condition is, I imagine, minor compared to may others it has been present for over 3 years and although this service has seen me twice in that time (discharging me once without informing me or my GP) it is no better. This services inadequate response causes me to keep using steroidal topical treatments for longer than normal and I keep having to see my GP about it, putting pressure on that non-specialised service. I doubt the service will reply to this review as they have not to any of the others.
