I was looking for help due to depression and trauma which was causing problems including self harm. Had to wait 10 months for my first appointment. I have autism and my therapist wasn't told, they didn't even know anything about autism. Therapist kept telling me to "just do things that make me happy". They said I can't be that bad because I feel joy sometimes, they told me "you can't just expect to be happy all the time", they knew that wasn't what I meant. They were always forgetting things I said, for example they kept telling me to spend time with my mother, and I had to say "I can't, she's emotionally abusive" every single appointment. Had to fill out a long survey every week with the same questions, there was sometimes someone else in the room on the video calls. Therapist had very basic mental health knowledge, the same things I was reading in children's self help books aged 8. Made me write a "mood diary" which was just boring and pointless, when I told them it wasn't working they just said "well just do it anyway" Just didn't help me at all, I don't want to look for help anymore.
