    I am very disappointed with all appointment procedure. And this new "Patches" service didn't improve anything really. I am in severe pain for several days now, I have requested GP appointment thru Patches on Wednesday 12.03.25 at midnight ( as this seems to be the only time that you will have slot available thru this service!!!). Phoning practice in the morning to book an appointment is almost impossible even to get thru waiting queue. On Thursday morning I received a message with one question, and once I replied I didn't hear anything since. Few hours later I managed to dial in to reception, was 3rd in the queue only to wait over 30minutes!!! until someone picked up the phone. I might be wrong but the GP slot time is reserved for 10 mins by patient ( discussing problem and finding the solution), so why receptionist is taking the same amount of time??? I explained the situation and told that I need to speak urgently with GP and was told that I will have someone to ring me next day! I was under impression that first come, first serve, hence I stayed awake till midnight on Wednesday to secure visit on Thursday. Someone looked at my request on Thursday morning, decided that is not important enough, now it's Friday afternoon - and still waiting for a phone call. NHS is broken beyond belief, and NHS admin across the board is inadequate - I personally have been let down on many occasions. And this is yet another example. I can't go to A&E because I am in no condition to sit several hours in waiting room to be seen. All I wanted is a prescription for some painkillers. Surely this is no too much to ask.
