  2. Review titled Extremely poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Been advised by gp to book follow up appointments within 6 weeks on a number of occasions only for receptionists to provide mix messages about carrying this out making it impossible for me to do so. As a result i can’t make an appointment as being told they are fully booked and then when i do eventually get one its too late I’m being told by receptionist to book an 4 - 6 week appointment only I can’t as I’m then told they are fully booked. I can’t book anything online as no appointment, can’t get an appointment nearer the time within the specified time span as it’ll be too late. Can’t get an e-consult as the system is very flaky hardly ever available only when it suits the surgery a totally impossible situation.

  4. Review titled Absolutely terrible reception staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

Every single time I call this surgery I get a receptionist with an attitude. Today I rang about an enquiry about my husbands medication. I was told quite rudely that unless I was housebound then there was nothing they can do to help me. This I found very troubling, these are the first point of contact for anyone calling or visiting the surgery. They really are not giving the surgery a very good name. It’s almost like they just can’t be bothered to help and we are causing them trouble by actually asking for help. Also since this surgery has taken on the Brandon surgery patients it’s impossible to get an appointment without knowing at least 4 weeks in advance that you will need a dr. Something needs to change. I appreciate since Covid began it’s affected everything but come on other places have managed to get on an even keel now. Come on meadowfield surgery you can do better for your patients.

  5. Review titled Staff rude and unhelpful

Rated 1 star out of 5

Since meadowfield took over Brandon lane surgery there has been nothing but issues. Rang for a repeat prescription today and told I’m not allowed to ring them due to lack of staff. Also I work odd hours so I have previously asked for an appointment for the future and told no. I have to ring that day. Ridiculous. Also my dad is in his 70s. When he has rang for appointments or prescriptions he has been met with rude people on the phone saying he has to do it online then been hung up on. Not any guidance about how to do it online or taking into account his age and he’s unable to do so. If you do call at 8am for a same day appointment the least we have been in a queue for is 19th. Then to be told there’s nothing. Terrible service, unstaffed and extremely rude.

  6. Review titled Unfriendly and unhelpful.

Advised by pharmacist to take my 14 month old son to see a GP after vomiting green bile through the night. I was told by a very unfriendly receptionist that there wasn’t any appointments left. After explaining that my son had not eaten for 24 hours and hadn’t had much fluids they said a doctor would call. GP did not call back. This has happened on a number of occasions, where the GP has not called back. Highly unprofessional when it regards a 14 month old. The receptionists at meadowfield surgery should be encouraged to attend a customer service course, as there problem solving skills and professional manners are non existent. I wish I could change doctors, but I’ve heard GP practices are in similar situations. I have no idea what to do for my poor boy apart from wait to see if I can get some advise. Waiting just for advice, it’s ridiculous!!!
