  1. Review titled Discharged without any word.

by Jessie M. Seaton - Posted on 18 April 2024

I felt like a guinea pig for meds and services and never got many appointmenrs as it is. The appointments were always cancelled at least once or twice too. I was eventually discharged after asking for help because I could no longer take my meds due to life altering side effects; they discharged me without any explanation.

  2. Review titled Don't bother

They sent a letter out saying they've tried to contact me (they hadn't) and that I need to contact them if I still needed help so I did, twice. Still I got another letter claiming I had not tried to contact them and that they were discharging me. The incident has made me feel like I don't matter and that I may as well just give up on life all together.

Some of the staff here are brilliant hard working and kind, the receptionists nurses and some consultants do there upmost to help, on the other hand I have been left without a CPN for months now even though I have asked several times, I need a CPN as I struggle daily with my mental health, I am currently on the phone now and have been for a while I find it difficult to get through but understand the receptionists are trying their best but they need to employ more staff to answer these calls as us patients who are trying to speak to someone to get help and support for their mental health problems! I understand how busy the service can be but more needs to be done and appointments etc need to be done a lot sooner than every three months.

  5. Review titled Really poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was referred for treatment in September 2021. As of July 2022, I haven't received any treatment at all. The last letter I had from them was in February 2022, I haven't heard anything for 6 months. I've basically been left to my own devices, despite my symptoms getting worse, and impacting massively on my life, to the extent that I've lost my job as a result of them. Obviously, given all this, and the lack of care, things have deteriorated. I called the crisis line. When Lyme brook called me back, they fixated on the fact that I mentioned to the crisis line that I was staying away from home for a bit. Someone from Lyme brook left an answer phone message asking me to call them back- not because I was unwell and they thought it was important to talk to me, but so they could take me off their list if I wasn't around. They seem more interested in removing patients from their list than they do with actually helping people. I've been waiting over 9 months for any treatment, and at the first hint that I might not be "their problem" they seek to try and remove me from the waiting list. I fully understand that the NHS is over stretched, especially mental health provision, but I don't feel this is a caring service.
