  1. Review titled Awful, lazy, rude staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

Attended today with severe throat pain with clear white spots on one tonsil and has worsened over 4 days to be rudely told by the triage nurse there is nothing at all wrong and to get on with it like the rest of us, whilst she gave a her own little fake cough for dramatics. Exactly the same treatment was given to my husband there two weeks ago, despite being diagnosed with strep A the following day and was really unwell. It feels like they're in a competition with themselves to get through the queue by triaging people and sending sick people away. Very upsetting to come away feeling like you have made it up despite feeling really unwell in a lot of pain. To be told to buy throat sweets if I feel like it's sore. I don't just feel like it is sore, I know it is sore and havent slept for 4 nights! So disappointed in their lack of service and compassion.

  2. Review titled Amazing caring staff member

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended with my daughter and we were both quite ill. We were called to triage and despite it being really busy and the staff under huge strain the staff member was amazing! I could have cried with how they helped us out. Quick, efficient and extremely understanding. Thank you so so so much!

  3. Review titled Atrocious Service and lazy staff

On 30th November 2022 I had a fall which resulted in me attending the walk in on 1 December 2022. I can't fault the service I received on this evening and had a very though examination off an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. On the 8th December 2022 I was advised by my GP, an ANP from the out of hours service and two local pharmacy's to attend the walk in due to severe wounds from the fall becoming severely infected and the requirement for them to be specifically dressed.. I attended the walk on this evening about 7pm and was advised no more patients were being booked in as it was busy and to.come back 10 December 2022. I attended the walk in at approximately 2 15pm. The waiting area was reasonably empty. I waited two hours to be triaged only to be told by the nurse. "There are a lot of sick people out there and you won't get seen" . I was advised that I would need to come back! I politey asked what type of dressing she would recommend. To which she retorted I don't know I've not seen the wounds " . I asked her for the telephone number of the Sefton Rd clinic. To which she replied "I don't know you will have to Google it" This lazy, unprofessional excuse of a medic overshadowed the excellent service I received on 1 December 2022.

  4. Review titled Staff sitting in a do not sit area

Rated 1 star out of 5

Your Cleaner is sitting in chairs when waiting room full and I have high anxiety so couldn’t enter and there’s a section of seats ‘reserved/blocked’ and as a parent I have to wait to be seen with my child and stand up yet these staff are adamant these chairs can’t be sat in, I will be complaining to PALS about this as it’s totally unacceptable as I don’t wanna talk in front of everyone explaining why I can’t go in waiting area as it’s not everybody’s business!! Tell staff to stand up if we as patients/parents have to stand up!!

  5. Review titled Poor care

The practice receptionist and triage nurse were great The nursing staff take it upon themselves to lecture parents on why they have brought their child to the walk in centre. They are judgemental ,rude and also in the process of training students who are listening to conversations and taking notes on what I see as bad practice I am a mum to three children, the youngest has hardly been to a GP in her life but developed sudden chest pain and feeling sick I couldn't get in touch with gp and even though I assumed it was something gastric she wouldn't take medicine or water. Because she has anxiety I knew the best thing was to get her obs done and over the four hour wait her pain moved to her side and she seemed much brighter. The nurse told us why I shouldn't have brought her,why a GP probably wouldn't have seen her anyway, why I had acted too quickly ,why bringing her to a walk in may increase her anxiety. Why waiting four hours was a waste of my time I have an older child with a serious disability who has had a heart murmur, brain surgery, respiratory issues. I am fully aware of serious ailments but in this instance when their are no avenues to take you choose a walk in centre for minor ailments and you are still judged for being there God help the trainees they really are in a lecture room.

  6. Review titled Very bad, if not negligent service.

Rated 1 star out of 5

I took my 81 year old mother who suffers with dementia to the walk in as she was complaining of some blood coming from her right ear. The nurse looked at my mums ear and said that it was blocked with wax and she was unable to see the ear drum and therefore unable to make any findings. She suggested having the wax removed. She looked in the other ear but found nothing of concern. I phoned the relevant NHS clinics which do the wax removal but was told that the appointments were all booked up to the 19th September. I wasn't prepared to wait that long so made an appointment with Specsavers in the New Strand. I took my mum to this appointment today and it was not wax that was found in my mums ear but the remnants of an ear bud, the squashy bullet shaped type used to drown out noise. As my mum has dementia she has no clue how it got there. In her left ear, attached to the ear drum was a large amount of congealed blood which the audiologist removed. How can a recognised health care specialist not know the difference between wax and a large clump of sponge? So, anybody suffering with ear issues I would seriously consider going elsewhere to have it sorted. You might just get the person that my mother seen.

  7. Review titled Bad bedside manner

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Spoke to receptionist on the phone who was very distracted and kept getting the details of my case wrong when I was repeating them to her. She then put me on ‘hold’ to sort an appointment time, however, I was still able to hear everything. She had a conversation with what I’m assuming was a nurse or doctor who would be seeing me and explained my situation to ask for an appointment time. To which they replied ‘ew never’ and then the both of them laughed. I now do not want to attend the appointment despite needing the medical attention purely because I have been made to feel judged and uncomfortable by the staff.
