  1. Review titled Great care bad facilities

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 November 2023

I have my midwife appointments at the Waldron Centre- the support I've received so far from the team there has been great, however the facilities leave a lot to be desired. At every appointment we must give a urine sample and it's always a nightmare. There are no hangers or pegs in the bathroom for coat/ bags so you have to put them on the toilet floor, which is horrendously unhygienic. Otherwise you have to leave them in the reception area unattended which isn't secure. There are also no toilet seats on any of the toilets so when you flush you are exposed to lots of germs, which also strikes me as really unhygienic- particularly for expectant mothers. There's no hand sanitizer anywhere either. These are small things which could hugely improve expectant mothers experiences of the centre. When I get home I always steam my clothes and bag and spray them with antibacterial spray as I'm so disgusted by the facilities.

  2. Review titled Foot clinic failure

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anna - Posted on 23 January 2023

I've attended Foot Clinic at Waldron Health Centre with my mother in law who came in for an assessment and she needed a translator. Person who seen us was very abrupt. My mother in law who doesn't speak/understand the language have told me she found that person to be rude. We think it is not acceptable to speak to any patient in this manner.

  3. Review titled Really unhelpful

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 September 2022

Midwives had failed to provide a form for blood test but I was booked in on the system, had the texts confirming that and my maternity book containing all my details. Staff at clinic were totally unhelpful and unconcerned and just sent me away.

Dear patient, We were sorry to hear about your difficulties in getting your blood test at the Waldron Clinic recently. We are sorry for the misunderstanding with the blood forms but unfortunately, at this time, we cannot process a request for a blood test at our community clinics without the proper forms. We have fed your comment back to the relevant team who will make sure that they will provide information in a clear and polite way in the future. If you would like to take this further or need any further assistance in getting your blood test, please contact PALS either using their email address, pals.lewisham@nhs.net, or by phone on 020 8333 3355. Kind Regards, Patient Experience Team
