Went in to Bassett road surgery this morning to get an appointment because when I got to number 1 on the phone que I was hung up on, I was questioned by the receptionist about why I wanted to even see a doctor about my issue and being told it wasn’t urgent. Who are the receptionists to decide if it’s urgent or not? They asked if I’d been about it before and the answer is no because you can never get an appointment and you get 21 questions as to why you even want to see a doctor. Shocking!!

I tried to book a call today to talk to Doctor and phoned 6 times and each time have been asked to call back

The receptionist is an absolute chaos, too many staff and many not knowing what they're doing, employed so many pharmacists as they are leaving so quickly and the shouldn't be a pharmacist Dr Surgery anyway, I saw the same doctor and he either was clueless to my illnesses and guessed which lead to more problems as half of the time he was wrong, only good forgiving prescriptions out but still missed out nine weeks out of two years giving me my opiate prescriptions.

My Brother has recently been put on the Palliative Care register. I have to say that these times can be very worrying and stressful. However, the Palliative lead GP is amazing with my brother. Super Caring and understanding to all his complex needs. They have a really amazing D.P Manager. As a whole the Surgery go above and beyond for my brother and we are so grateful for the care he is receiving. Thank you to all the staff you are all amazing.
