    My second experience at this clinic. Different staff this on this occasion. I noticed that new signs in the entrance and waiting area had appeared since my visit six months previously. Again appointments were running way behind time - 55 minutes when I arrived. However, the patients before me were then seen quickly, and I was seen 35 minutes after my appointment time. The sonographer displayed professionalism and he ensured I knew what I was there for. I was less sure about the clerk who dealt with the paperwork, who could have done with some training on how to greet and deal with patients! Neither of the staff introduced themselves or explained their roles or job titles. I was in and out in five minutes. The best thing about this place is that the parking is free of charge.

    I had a very poor experience at my first visit to this clinic in May 2023. The ultrasound staff were most unfriendly. I seemed to have the first appointment (3.15pm), as I saw the sonographer arrive to start work whilst I was waiting. I suppose she must have come from a clinic elsewhere. I was eventually called at 3.40pm, by which time two more patients had arrived for their 3.30 and 3.45 appointments. The nurse/clerk gave me a consent form to sign. I said I needed to read it first, which she wasn’t happy with. It was just as well I did, as the information was incorrect. I said I wasn’t consenting to a transvaginal ultrasound. She said, “That bit has been crossed out, can’t you see!” As I went to cross that section out properly, she grabbed the clipboard back from me and told me to go to the ultrasound room. So what the point of the consent form was I don’t know, as I didn’t sign anything! The sonographer didn’t introduce herself or say what she was going to do. As it turned out, I didn’t need to get undressed, just loosen my clothes around my waist. She scanned all around my waist and tummy. I hate that jelly, especially when they don’t wipe it off when they have finished, and leave you to wipe it off yourself! There was a notice on the wall to say the sonographer couldn’t answer any questions. I didn’t know what they were looking for, and no one had explained to me. Altogether, it was very unpleasant.
