  1. Review titled The staff do their best but need more training

by Mother of Ware - Posted on 08 January 2024

My daughter has a learning disability and has been attending this clinic for a number of years. During the last year she has had 4 Outpatients appointments cancelled at short notice, but early January 2024 we were seen by a doctor and they were very helpful and kind to my daughter, unfortunately by this time my daughter had forgotten how to respond to the various scanning machines. She needs to get used to situations and when she knows what is required of her she will do her best to respond, but this takes time and patience as well as simple instructions and lots of praise. During the long delay in being seen her sight has got a lot worse and we will have to start building her confidence up again in order to get the scans needed to decide what future treatment she may need. I do not think it is to her benefit to give her an appointment at Keats House for the scans, as the staff do not appear to understand that she needs special attention and time to understand what they want her to do. We have visited Keats House 3 times in the last year and not achieved a single helpful scan. The staff do their best but need more training in how to get the best out of the people they are trying to scan. Yours Faithfully

  2. Review titled Can't contact!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Have been trying to contact this department for weeks to cancel appointment - a message thanking me for using the voicemail service which then hangs up on you. Unless I go there in person is impossible to cancel! Please do something about this.

I have tried contacting this department for three days to cancel a appointment, how much money is this costing the NHS due to appointments not turning up! also other patients could have been seen earlier...

unable to contact the clinic to cancel my appointment. All my different attempts resulted the same - with an automated message that thanks me for contacting the voicemail of 3275 before an immediate hang-up, without allowing to leave any message.

Same as previous reviews- unable to contact. No answer, no voicemail and thus couldn’t cancel or change appointment. Great staff, atrocious administration.

  6. Review titled Impossible to contact

I have tried several times to call this number to cancel an appointment for my elderly mother. The lines just rings, no answer and no voicemail option. Therefore an appointment will be wasted due to no other option of how to cancel an appointment.
