   Arrived early for my blood test as there is usually a queue to book in and to obtain blood test forms from the Whyburn Medical side. Was pleasantly surprised that there was no queue for either desk and it only took 2 people to print off my blood form. I first booked in at the phlebotomy reception then obtained my form. I sat in the waiting room 10 minutes before my appointment time. Nobody was called in for 15 minutes (5 minutes after my appointment time) and then another patient who was already seated when I got there was called in. They had told me their appointment was at the same time as mine. A few more people checked in and sat in the waiting area and were called in for their blood tests. Someone arrived for their blood test carrying a small fluffy dog, one of the receptionists kindly took the dog outside and looked after it while the patient was ushered straight through to have their blood test. At this point I decided to double check that I had been marked as present by the receptionist. I was told that I had been marked as "did not attend". Fortunately, I had the blood test form with the time printed on it which acted as proof that I had arrived in plenty of time for my appointment. The receptionist took my blood form to the person taking blood and I was allowed to have my blood taken.
