   I attended the X-Ray department on 12/3/24, arrived for my appointment a couple of minutes late due to traffic, however I was seated in the waiting area quite quickly. However I then sat for a further 20-25 minutes whilst listening to the radiography staff chatting and having a general catch up and talking about going on holiday to Australia whilst I was waiting for my X-Ray 20-25 minutes after my appointment time. I could hear everything they were talking about and at one point the staff had actually realised and checked to see if they had any patients due to come in, they realised they had quite a few patients waiting but then continued to have their little catch up! I understand staff are working hard as I work for the NHS myself, however leaving patients waiting for 20-25 minutes whilst staff have a little catch up and a chat isn’t acceptable especially when patients have to get to work themselves. If staff want to have a catch up for over 20 minutes surely this could be done during their break. I ended up being a lot later to work that I had hoped.
