  1. Review titled Terrible experience. In agony

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have to speak up about the state of disabled access at The Station Plaza Health building. Car parking spaces that are marked clearly for disabled drivers, are full of non disabled dropping passengers off, or collecting their kids from college. As a patient who can hardly walk I really needed a space this morning and was unable to park. This is a health centre! It will naturally be a place for injured, elderly, heavily pregnant, unwell and weak folk who need assistance. I had a word with the security guard who was very rude and nonchalant. He then told me that all of the lifts were broken ! I then had to literally crawl up six flights of stairs to level three. Just for a blood test. I was in so much pain I was in tears. I passed two other elderly and disabled ladies who were stuck, plus a lady with significant lung problems who was struggling to breathe. There was no one to help at all! Again the security guard did nothing and could not care less. It’s disgraceful! We were just left to it. I then slipped on the way down and my condition has deteriorated so much because of this visit, that I am now in bed, unable to walk, and had to cancel helping my elderly mum. I am in so much pain I cannot see to my kids either. The impact on disabled people is huge. Please do something about this!

Many thanks to the friendly, helpful staff who treated me on Good Friday afternoon, when I thought, apart from attending A&E, there was no medical treatment in Hastings.

  3. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My wife (late 70's) had a UTI which had not been correctly addressed by our GP service on Thursday. Her condition was not good. I phoned on Sat morning, she was given an appointment for later that afternoon. We traveled from Eastbourne and on arrival she was seen straight away and an antibiotic prescribed. We are very impressed with the service provided. There should be more of these centres.

Thank you so much for your kind words about our service. It's great to hear that we were able to support your wife over the weekend. Hopefully the antibiotics are starting to work and your wife feels better soon. We'll make sure that supported you are made aware of your compliment.

  4. Review titled Making an appointment is a joke

Rated 3 stars out of 5

If you ring at 8am when they say they're opn no one asnswers the phone for gaes and if you go there it's a free-for-all. I was third in the que outside this mornig and if was a mad dash to get to the 3rd floor for the reception. This is hardly fair for the infirm and elderly that have to use the lift. There was this young woman who had turned up after about 10 others and decided to just push ahead, the man in front of me was almost pushed to the back of the que. I managed to get there first and let the others infront of of go ahed first. There needs to be a more organised way of doing this, it's a disgrace.

Dear patient, We're sorry to hear of your experience. A number of different organisations provide services from the Station Plaza building. Our service is the Primary Care Hub, which is on the ground floor of the building. It sounds as though you might be referring to Station Practice, which is on Level 3 in the building. If you refer your comments to the practice directly they will be able to review your experience.
