I have tried for over 1 hour phoning number to try to get connected to diabetes nurse! There has been no answer…. Is this not manned? I am trying to chase up diabetic nurses who put me on insulin in March 2023 and should have reviewed in September 2023! If this reaches anyone who can help please feel free to contact me

Breast screening took half the time compared to 2 years ago. However, I am not sure what do you base the need for an interpreter on, without asking the patient. Someone booked one for me but I sent her away. She will still get paid for an hour which is a waste of NHS money. Perhaps someone should call the patient and ask is any assistance needed.

Review titled Terrible treatment by staff
Rated 1 star out of 5

I came here for a hip x-ray, reception was closed so I waited to be seen. I was greeted by a Nurse 1 (to avoid any description or identification of thus nurse) who seemed friendly enough and then they tried to get me to wear a gown. The gowns were on the floor, uncovered and looked dirty. I told them I was uncomfortable with wearing a gown that looked dirty, especially when it wasn't necessary for my x-ray. Nurse 1 then took this comment personally and stated me being uncomfortable made them uncomfortable and was extremely rude and abrasive. I told them I'll just leave as this situation was making me uncomfortable now. Their colleague; Nurse 2 tried to understand the situation and I explained I'd made no personal comments to nurse 1, that I was simply uncomfortable with the dirty gowns. I said I was leaving. Nurse 2 followed me out and said I didn't have to wear a gown. I have never been spoken to in such a way by medical staff and I was distraught. As someone who has negative experiences with hospital settings this really upset me. Nurse 2 said theh must have misunderstood me and I apologised for any miscommunication on my part although I did reiterate that I said I was uncomfortable with the gowns- quite clearly. Vulnerable people come here and usually the staff are fantastic, but now being treated like this and spoken to in such an awful manner has me reeling. I will be contacting pals.
