  1. Review titled We are so lucky to live here for tbis amazing service

Outstanding service from these professionals. The staff and doctors were all fantastic not just during the assessment stage but also in explaining the diagnosis with myself and our daughter in language she understood. Our son has been also through the service in 2022. Both times I can safetly say it was the best I have received from the nhs when trying to understand my children's needs. Thank you. Many children nationwide aren't as lucky as we are here with an audiology service.

  2. Review titled The paediatric audiology service is brilliant

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had 1st appointment within 10 weeks (the quickest wait by far for NHS departments we re waiting on in the area), needed 2 appointments for our toddler to do the testing needed and at both appointments it was clear that the wonderful audiologist had made a point of reading his history so the questions they needed to ask were minimal. After the tests were done they made sure to explain everything thoroughly and that as a parent you understood it all, they even ask where the report needs to go to. Honestly the best NHS department I ve come across in Preston.

  3. Review titled Long wait list and unhelpful staff

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Sadly with most NHS services there is a big waitlist. After days of trying to get help for the condition my daughter may or may not have (we’ll have to wait 2 years to find out) I’ve been given some leaflets. This has helped slightly but I do feel more could be done for parents with g for childrens appointments. This could be reading, strategies, signposting to supporting resources. In my experience, the admin team here seem to feel they are clinically qualified which has caused some frustration and communication barriers. The general feel is, there’s nothing they can do, just wait 2 years and then you’ll know. It’s a sad state of affairs :-(
