I am a carer and my client has been left without a wheelchair for 3 weeks they provided two different cushions for the chair but they are not suitable for they didn't even come out to see the chair then they came up with putting a new board under the cushion witch is going to take another 2 weeks we asked if we could borrow a wheelchair untill her new one is done witch is going to take 8 weeks and we had no reply

  2. Review titled Unsuitable for maintain wheelchairs

Rated 1 star out of 5

My son’s battery for his power pack died in April. Emc sent a “new” battery which lasted for four weeks and died again. Asked for a new one. They sent 2 other “new” batteries but they didn’t manage to work for 5 metres. It’s now the end of August and my son couldn’t go anywhere during the summer as Emc couldn’t sort out a simple battery replacement. Or find out if the problem is something else not the battery. Every process at Emc is extremely slow and obviously the maintenance team is not suitable to work with wheelchairs.

  3. Review titled Very poor centre. Good reception staff and physios.

Rated 1 star out of 5

For such a large service area the centre is very poor. Understaffed. Very little, if any, stock of anything held leading to unacceptable delays. Poor basic fitting of prosthetic leg when it eventually arrived leading to wasted time frequently adjusting instead of actually getting on with practice. Rough tape measuring instead of taking a cast of stump or other means of fitment which was deemed too expensive. The staff are really helpful and pleasant working under such restricting conditions. In the long run it must be costing more. In my case a 1 hour ambulance transport there then 1 hour back for a 1 hour session when number of visits could have been reduced with more progress being made with the right equipment being available. I eventually managed to get referred to local Holsworthy hospital 15 minutes away for actual physio exercises with the very good staff there and was able to make good progress. The whole managerial organisation, NHS and Mob-Cent, is letting their patients and front line staff down. Drastic action needs to be taken.
